Afternoon everyone :)

Aw, Saundra that's a shame :( It's windy here today too xx

We're having chilli too Jo :D I think Tom has made a sensible choice there xx

Good luck with the clothes shopping Frank, I know how much you chaps enjoy it ;) xxx

Osc, I agree  xx

Oh that's not good Crommers, for you and for Mrs C's cousin xx

Hope you have a good one, Cruiser xx

You too Jen xx

Jan we had a lazy start too :D I played hookie from SW and we had a cuppa in bed and a later start 8-) We did still go out for brunch, with the hound, who has a smart new jumper  Round to D's after that. M measured up her patio doors, as she wants to put full-length curtains on them, over the blinds. I'm chilling out now, and Mick 's on a tip run - he hates anyone under his feet when he does stuff like this, I just supply the tea/coffee as required ;) It's nice and quiet here, I must say

Love to all xxx

Work for me this morning - not too bad, as I was also with Yvonne, my partner in crime LOL. The shop was LOUD with the wind howling and banging and knocking as the plastic roof in the 'courtyard' (the bit between the shop itself and the toilet....don't ask) was subject to slates and/or boards blowing about. Got home to all the garden furniture, which had been stacked against the wall, all over the garden (!) and a few plant pot containers on their side. My pot cat, which sits on a dead tree trunk, was still in place! From there I went to Arnison Centre, for a change LOL, dodging the branches and twigs that have been blown down, had a cuppa in Costa and then a mooch. Just in case I decide my 'wedding' dress is too much for the evening also, I was looking for something to change into - and found the perfect jumpsuit with a lacy top for half price (of £25, so £12.50) thought that was good, gets to the till - self scanner said ONE POUND!!! Total bargain!! 8-) :D :D

Tom has vertigo - he's been a bit dizzy for a few days and we managed to get him an appt at the GP yesterday, they confirmed it. I picked his meds up this morning, he has to take a week off work (he drives, not a good thing when you have vertigo) and take these meds, also use olive oil to soften the wax in his ears. Hope he'll be ok for The Big Day!!

Saundra we have wind also, very strong, but at least it's gorgeous sunshine with it and so mild! It's been a really nice January weather-wise 8-) Sorry you weren't able to see Scarlett, I thought the Humber Bridge would be closed.

Chinese for us too Al, Tom will collect it later.

Have a lovely evening all xx

Sorry you couldn't see Scarlett, what a disappointment for you Saundra. Not seeing your diabetic nurse for 2yrs is really not on, I accept it was difficult for face to face appointments during lockdown, but your surgery really should have arranged to see you by now :o Hope they sort it out for you soon xx

Such a shame Saundra xx and that really is dreadful, not seeing a nurse for that long. Think they're all using this covid thing as an excuse

Lovely day, spent outside, clearing up the last of the weeds, fed the donkeys and then sheep arrived, with Joana, looking after them. She even opened the gates for us, as we drove down the drive

Pig killing day, at a friends, so they all turned up at the bar, piddled, with four of them in the back of a pick-up   And a little bit of off roading, down by the stream, opposite the bar

Jan and I have decided that we're going to have a girl's few days away, with Chris and Lucy. She mentioned the west Algarve, but I suggested Fuzeta, where we used to live, so looking into that. Grumpy wanted to come, but was told a beard makes him definatley male  So he might go and stay in the hotel in Ourique, saves him having to cook. He can eat out 8-)

Curry warming, samosas in the air-fryer and footie later. :Hi:

That’s such a shame Saundra, hope you can see them soon. And as for the nurse, that’s negligent!

I personally think the practice in with is crap and always has been it had 3elderly drs who are now all retired it now has 3younger drs
The problem being they all seem to delegate your
Appointment to nurse practitioners so on it goes last year I think it was I received a letter to say we could if we signed this letter not see a diabetic nurse for 2years I tore the letter up they are using the covid as an excuse in my opinion

Also you can't leave the practice to sign with another one because other practices only except new patients if they are new to the area ?try living in the sticks with a lovely local hospital 5minutes away by car but half closed down no sAnd E just a nurse to refer you to Scarborough 23mile away or York 80mile all because of nhs cuts and administration
End of rant there is no maternity units here now all at Scarborough no stroke of heart units all Scarborough or York I despair at the medical care we received altho they saved my life from sepsis at Scarborough
