Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 09 Feb 2022, 06:58

Good morning.

Lovely again. A nice 23 degrees forecast. 8-)

Going to Guadalmar for a walk with Don. It's the walk that includes the nature reserve and the coast. Lots of different trails to discover. :D

GB Menu tonight with the two judges who wouldn't look out of place in a firing squad...they are harsh!

I'll be much more easy going with Don's offer of dinner.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Another lovely day and 21C for us later 8-)

Off to Ourique after breakfast, for the normal run around. Pit stop at the bar for coffee on the way back.

Probably weeding again this afternoon and might have a bbq.

Lisa Allen is scary, isn't she Ally

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two, morning everyone

Ally enjoy the walk and dinner later tonight. Re GB Menu, I was watching it yesterday and keep thinking how nice that programme is compared to the other competitions; with this one the people all help each other and are genuinely happy for the winner, such a pleasure to watch.

Jan, hope you get everything done today and take it easy with the weeding. Say hi to everyone at the bar

I'm in the office today. Car park is getting busier, as are the trains. The chap at the ticket window was saying that people are starting to buy season tickets again. Off to Karl and Nadine's for dinner tonight; haven't seen Nadine since she got back so it'll be lovely to have a good catch up and natter over dinner and a glass of wine. And I need to borrow a suitcase so I can get packed tomorrow. Early start on Friday ;-)

Nothing else exciting to report my end; have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s sunny and quite mild here after a drizzly start.

Had a nice long walk with Bill this morning. Got back to a panicking Joe  He’d got the nurse from work calling imminently and had just been notified that DPD were about to deliver his new trainers, and he obviously isn’t supposed to answer the door. Anyway, the nurse has cleared him to return to work on Friday. Tomorrow is his 10th day and he’s still had a very faint positive test today but otherwise he’s back to normal.

It’s Tom’s 25th birthday today. We had a Chinese and birthday cake last night as he’s meeting up with Shannon for dinner after work. I feel a bit sorry for him really. He’s got to drive over to Ashbourne where she lives and they’re going for an Indian there and then he’s got over an hour’s drive back home. It would’ve been nice if she’d come over here so that he could have had a drink on his birthday :?

I’ve not watched any of GBM yet, I’m looking forward to seeing the new judges!

Jen, I had to cancel my hair appointment the other week when I was isolating. It’s desperate, it’s been over 8 weeks now but thankfully she’s been able to slot me in for a quick cut on the 19th so only another 10 days to tolerate it

Have a good day all :)

Happy birthday to Tom Jo. :cute:

We're back from a smashing 14km walk. Lovely breathing in the salty air along the coast. :D

I really like GB Menu and the new judges are great.

Don's decided on summer-in-winter chicken for dinner....one of my favourites. :P

Good morning folks.

Mild with white clouds scudding by.

The hinge on the toilet seat gave up the ghost yesterday evening so I am looking for a new one - seat and lid - the problem is that the suite is Aqua and it is no longer a popular colour so it looks like white will have to do.

What is it with women and hair? Just run it over with a number 1 on the clippers, a quick shampoo and dry and you're good to go for another month. Works for me. ;) 8-)

Have a good one. xx

Afternoon all, been busy with bits and pieces this morning including a long chat with Miss Osc about what they have told Michael about the young lad’s death and what he might have heard in school, so that we are all on the same page. Then I have been doing a repair on a dress of Kellie’s - sewing on press studs is a fiddly business :? Also Edward needed me to hold the ladder while he was doing something on the terrace. I also spent time having an online chat with the trainline.com about last night’s booking, no real resolution but he did try to help. Another one here heading to the hairdresser this afternoon, my appointment is at 1.30 but it is just a very short walk away. Looking forward to sitting reading my book while there!

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, don't be too harsh with Don's score   ;) xx

21° sounds so gooooood Jan! xx

Enjoy catching up with Nadine, Ria :) xx

Jen, I know what you mean! I postponed my haircut recently, and suddenly I'm all shaggy   Getting a trim next week 8-) xx

Jo, a very Happy birthday to Tom! :Hi: :Hi: xx

Hope you managed to find a suitable loo seat, Frank! xx

Osc, such a tricky subject :( xxx

Well, it's been drizzly here all day! I slept badly as my hip was very twingey, but took some paracetamol this morning and walked into town with Harry to meet my friend for a cuppa. We had lunch with D - sarnies from M&S - and have been home for about half an hour. Bangers and mash for dinner tonight, I'm supposed to be going to Zumba again, but think I will give it a miss :? Pilates tomorrow will do me more good, some fairly gentle stretching.

Love to all :) xxx

Good afternoon everybody,

Frank, Have you looked at wooden toilet seats. I have one. The original seat has been replaced several times. It has been in about
thirty years. It is tourquoise so difficult to match. We did not want a white one. Tried a self closing one but changed it after a couple of years.

Just been pootling today There has been blue skies and then grey clouds with a cold wind.

I like watching the programme were potters have to make things.

Have a good day everybody
