Away for my walk shortly.

I've decided the utility room could do with a freshen up so off to Bricomart later for some paint. I enjoy decorating so there won't be any huffs, puffs or general sighs of despair in the shop.

Just back from my walk to find a basket of goodies at the gate.

12 eggs, 4 cauliflower and two dozen kumquats.

Enjoy the decorating Ally - when you're done want to come here and paint my dining / kitchen area? I don't mind doing the actual painting, it's all the prep that is needed before that I absolutely detest so just keep putting it off.

Nice surprise to come home to what will you do with the kumquats?

A rather dull and dreary day today, still dry for now but rain expected in the course of the day. Was out early to get to Sainsbury's so now have the day at home to do the usual work / pootle mix. Hygienist appointment at 4.30 and then back home after that. Usually would have gone round to Karl and Nadine's afterwards, but still can't visit them and suspect I won't be able to until next week. Nadine finally had a negative test yesterday so she's on the mend, but we need to wait for Amelia and Karl do to the same and then I can see them again (and hope Thomas doesn't test positive in the meantime). I'm due to have my ganglion removed from my hand next week so really don't want to risk getting Covid now!

We have rain Not a huge amount, but still, it's making everything wet So will be a cooler day. One for staying inside.

Been awake most of the night, reading, so might have a snooze later this afternoon. And then heading out for dinner tonight
