Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 06 Mar 2022, 07:04

Good morning.

Looks beautiful out there, blue sky, sunny and forecast 21C. 8-)

I'm going for a quick run then back to get showered etc then we're off to la Trocha market. It's huge so a good old mooch is on the cards.

On the way home we'll pick up a pollo asado (chicken done on the rotisserie) and some salady bits. I'll make some spicy wedges and that's dinner tonight.
I made a kumquat sticky sponge cake the other day and we have ice cream.

DOI and Peaky Blinders is tonight's televisual feast. :cute:

Have a great day.

PS...we had two lovely pieces of news yesterday that I'll put on another board later. X

Morning Ally, and everyone :)

See you later Ally, and looking forward to your lovely news 8-) xx

It's rained here all night! B was out for farewell drinks with her old Woods colleagues last night. We didn't hear her come in, but her keys are in this morning so she must be  We'll be doing the usual Sunday stuff, I'll probably cook a roast later. DOI later.

Have a good day everyone :)xx

Sunny but chilly this morning 8-)

Oooh, news, can't wait :D

Not a lot going on here, might get out in the garden this afternoon, but after all that rain :Hi: :Hi: yesterday, think the ground will be too wet.

But I have two really good books on the go, so I'm happy :D

Roast pork for us later.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it can’t decide whether to be bright or grey here this morning.

Just me, John and Bill this weekend. Joe will be back from Cornwall very late tonight and Tom’s at Shannon’s. Not sure if we’re doing much today.

John went out with a few of the men on the close last night, just around to the hotel bar down the lane. Not sure if you remember but back in the Autumn I posted that I’d bumped into a neighbour while out with Bill and he was absolutely shell shocked because his wife had left him for no apparent reason. He was one of the group last night and John came home bursting with gossip, his wife is now living with the woman who has the dog walking business on the estate. Funnily enough, and I’d had no indication of this, I had a feeling that there’d been something going on between the two of them.

Shepherds Pie and veg for dinner today.

Have a good day all, I’ll be checking back for the good news!

Good morning all.
I'll be on the snoop for the good news later Ally!
Wow Jo! I remember the story. That's some real gossip!
A nice day here today. We have lost that icy wind thank goodness.
Son, daughter, son in law and Eliza are coming for dinner today.
A lazy day after that apart from trying again to bake a loaf, yesterday's attempt crashed and burned. I ended up with a small, heavy lump that could have been fired from a cannon.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

It's been dull and overcast, but the sun's trying to come out right now.

Not a lot happening here, just eating porridge for brekkie, toast and marmalade to follow. Dinner this evening is rotisserie chicken with veggies, vanilla blancmange with lemon and lime jelly for pud. DOI and Peaky Blinders to look forward to.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s a glorious day here, so we went out for a walk quite early before everywhere got too busy. We wanted to see the Eire 6 sign which has been beautifully restored by local volunteers, here’s a link to their website explaining all about it https://www.eire6howth.com/. The views were magnificent and there is a lovely feel of Spring in the air even though it is still chilly. Back home now, I’ve sorted out some laundry and am heading for the shower. The car has a slow puncture, thankfully we have a pump so I should be able to get it somewhere for repair tomorrow - neither of us is really able to change the tyre and I don’t want to bother SIL on his main day off. Crochet/reading this afternoon and Dancing with the Stars Ireland tonight.

Good afternoon everybody.

Lots ffluffy clouds and a cold wind. Have managed to dismantle the worktop which was over the old boiler and a cupboard.
Also cleaned the tiles which were behind it. Hooverd some bits up which were hidden by the boiler and cupboard.
Have moved stuff ion the garage so the electrician will be able to install the new cable for the new boiler.
Will have a lazy afternoon.

Will be having chicken and veg for dinner.

Gosh Jo! That is juicy gossip, poor chap! Mind you, that happened to a pal of Mick's years ago - but not only did she leave him for a woman, she sold the story to Take A Break magazine  :?
