Morning Tuesday

Postby jenniren » 08 Mar 2022, 06:21

Morning all :D

Up at silly o'clock, E left for the hospital about 20mins ago. The forecast says we're in for a dry day so fingers crossed it stays that way for the journey, even better they don't get stuck in the work traffic. Hoping he comes home with some idea of how long he has to wait for his op.

Eldest daughter's birthday today, she's 57, how's that possible :o

Was thinking about going back to bed, but I'm up now so might just as well carry on. can always have a snooze on the settee later.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning everyone.

Happy birthday to your eldest and hope all goes well for E today Jen. X

Sunshine and 21C here today so I'll head off for my walk shortly. :D

I'm meeting a friend in the plaza at 11 for coffee and a pitufo. Just like the Tuesday's from last year but no morning classes beforehand.

By the time I get back Don should have finished putting the new spotlights in the utility room and I'll have avoided the swearing.

I need to catch up on Thursday's GB Menu before I watch tonight's offering. :D

Have a great day.

Morning!

We have Covid in the house  Becky felt rough when she got home from work last night, went straight to bed and this morning she's tested positive :? Really hoping the rest of us don't catch it! I've already been round with the Dettol spray :cute:  Not sure what to do about Doreen, I know I don't have to isolate and feel absolutely fine, but I would hate to pass it to her! There again she'll be on her own until the weekend if I don't visit. The best thing is probably for me to test daily, I think, and carry on as normal - depending on how D feels of course, she might want me to stay away.

Good luck to E today, Jen, and happy birthday to your daughter xx

Good idea to stay away Al, I do the same when Mick does any DIY

Love to all xxx

Oh no Kaz. :? X

Timing this perfectly....just back from my walk and caught sight of Don on route to the utility room toolbox clutched tightly in his mitts.

I'm away to get ready and get out of here.

Morning everyone

We were forecast rain and we might have had a slight smattering, but just grey sky now. Warming up a little at 18C.

Good luck to E today Jen xx and Happy Birthday to your daughter x

Oh dear Kaz  Not good news, especially for H and D. Hope she's not too bad with it and none of you catch it x

Even with Grumpy being a carpenter, I always steer clear when ever he's doing something.

Ironing for me this morning and then reading I think.

Hope Cruiser is now toasty warm :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Thanks ladies :) I rang D and we decided it was best if I stay away for a few days. She has stuff in, so it will be fine.

I've opened all the windows and Dettol'd everywhere  :cute:

Morning all, it’s grey and very windy here, with rain forecast for later. We are going out for the day - we need to go to the bank to sign something - our branch closed last year and the accounts were transferred to another branch further away, I do all the banking online but this form requires us to present ourselves in person. So we’ll do that and then go on to Malahide to have lunch and visit the actual exhibition about the Howth tram including the video, which is on at the library there. Better get moving!

Sorry about B, Kaz, hope she doesn’t feel too bad.

Oh Kaz, fingers crossed you manage to avoid it! Don’t forget Tom was home with the three of us when we had it and then a few weeks later had the weekend with Shannon the day before she tested positive, plus he’s got around 150 kids going into his classroom every day and he’s so far not caught it which blows my mind

Hope Becky’s soon feeling much better x

I think that’s the sensible thing to do with D. It’s hard to know what to do with the new rules isn’t it. John’s got someone in his department who has been off for the last week with it and it really knocked him about, he tested negative on Friday so was set to return yesterday but started testing positive again on Sunday. He’s still unwell but asked John if he could come back today despite his tests still being positive as late as yesterday afternoon (he’s getting full pay so it’s not a money issue) and John didn’t know what to do as there hasn’t been a policy set out so referred him to the main boss and he said yes. Not sure how others will feel about that though.

Morning all, it’s sunny here although there’s an icy cold wind and the mud was frozen on the walk this morning which was a real treat! I’m sick of mud!

Hope all goes well for E, Jen, and happy birthday to your daughter x

Have a good day all :)

A friend is still testing positive, two months after he caught it

He was told he could return to work, with a certificate from the health service, as he was no longer infectious  Which he did, after a couple of weeks off.

Now he has a chest infection, so off work again.

The clouds have gone, the sun is out, but it's a chilly breeze still.

Good morning all.
A bright sunny day here, but absolutely freezing with an icy wind.
I hope you all manage to stay healthy Kaz.
Jen, is E in for his other hip?
Has Cruiser had his boiler done yet?
In a while we're off for a few bits from Sainsbury's. A service and new front brake pads yesterday cost us £250. Ouch. Still, better than crashing because you have no brakes.
Have a good day all.
