What is more shocking is that they have months of reserves at the original price.

They push prices up instantly but trail price cuts for months after oil price cuts?

Joe was just saying that he drove past a petrol station between here and Stafford on his way home today, bearing in mind it’s the only one on the A34 for around 11 miles so prices are always somewhat inflated, but petrol was £1.69.

It is that Ria.

Doubly so since I went to the physio tonight and drove past a Texaco garage where petrol was £1.57! Doh!

Someone on one of the Stafford Facebook pages has been collating petrol prices at the various stations around the town and it ranges today from 153.9 at Tesco to 186.9 at Stafford Services (which is no surprise on the motorway).

Our government will confirm a cut in excise duty today, to ease the increase in the cost of petrol.

The Texaco station in Stafford town centre - 176.9 for petrol, 194.9 for diesel. You’d think it’d be a bit more competitive seeing as it’s next door to Asda which also has a filling station.
