Oil prices have already dropped.

Noticed the immediate reaction by dropping fuel prices.... You'll look long and hard.

In the end I had to get fuel in Dieppe. I was driving faster and harder with more weight in the car on the way here. Lost quite a bit of range....  Pricing was interesting. From €1.2 in the Auchan hypermarket to €1.093 in the Esso Express. I saved €4 in filling up my car, simply by looking around, instead of dropping into my usual station at Auchan.

Fuel here in the Wolds of Lincolnshire is circa £1.70 and I paid about £1.72, so not a big issue.

Car is now full again and will stay that way.

Petrol / diesel at both filling stations in town this morning were 165.9 / 179.9 - the latter still at it's all-time high here.

So much for the 5p off fuel duty, then ...... :|

I went past the local fuel station in the Wolds here the day the chancellor was making his statement. I checked the next day. 3p UP, nothing down. That was, effectively, an 8p price rise.

Today I was in Lincoln. I filled up in Tesco on the way out. 168.9. Fully 10p cheaper than all the stations in the Wolds.

I have to drive to Peterborough and back on Monday morning. I'll be filling up again with the cheapest fuel I can find on the way.
