Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 13 Mar 2022, 06:57

Good morning.

Forecast cloudy sunshine and 21C. :D

Day at home today so my trainers are sulking.

A few things to watch on catch up with DOI - this one has been of excellent standard - and Peaky Blinders tonight.

There's a big fat chicken for dinner with salad and wedges. :D

Have a great day.

*It was this date two years ago we were told at school it was going to be closed for two weeks due to covid. As it transpired we didn't reopen till September.
How quickly the time has gone and all that has happened since then.*

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny but rain is forecast for today - sometime 8-)

Off to Aldi this morning :Hi: :Hi: Also to get some more petrol, as it's going up again tomorrow

Back to do not a lot, apart from a proper cooked breakfast :D We also have chicken for dinner. I always cook two, as they're so small. They'll last us for three meals and butties

How quickly it's gone Ally and how quickly we've adapted. I won't go anywhere without my mask, always have some in my bag and in the car. Spray my hands before I enter anywhere and when I leave. And steer clear of people I don't know ;)

Hayfever has hit us both  I'm getting on with it, Grumpy is a moaning ole minnie

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

And we're back :D

Lovely, wide aisles, very pleasant staff and a slight change of plan for breakfast. Grumpy fancied a french stick, so I bought some goodies to go in it and that's for breakfast. Bacon and eggs tomorrow ;)

We have sun, they have mist in Ourique  But it feels damp, so rain on it's way :Hi: :Hi:

Good morning everybody.
Cloudy but no rain.
Have painted the inside of the new small door on the cabinet over the electrical consumer unit and the edge of the new door into the kitchen.
It is onlu undercoat. Will wait till tomorrow to put the top coat on.
Am going to have a coffee while I read the paper. DM has gone up by 10p on Saturday and Sunday. That is nearlya 10% increase.

Have bought a few things from the entre aisle of Aldi.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :)

Indeed Ally, what a two years it has been! xx

Sounds like Aldi was a big hit then Jan :D Enjoy your breakfast :) xx

Cruiser, everything is going up, isn’t it? xx

Harry left with Mick about half an hour ago, I will miss him but am sure it will all work out for the best. His new job starts tomorrow. Becky is ok, still a bit breathless and her sense of taste isn’t quite back to normal yet, but thankfully she’s free of the virus! I have just been round with the vacuum, and mopped the floors. Just about to put a wash on, then I have a beef casserole to prep for later, when Mick gets back. I’m going to walk up to the Co-op after that to get a newspaper. It’s a nice spring day here!

Love to all xxx

That made me smile Kaz...the Co-op. :)

Craig has one a couple of minutes walk from where he lives and I always like popping in.

There's just something nice about it that I like. :D

See you later. ;)

Morning all, it’s mostly cloudy, damp and still quite windy after very strong winds overnight. Kellie’s show was lovely yesterday, we really enjoyed it. She was happy when we saw her afterwards and we’re waiting to hear how the evening show went. We wore our masks in the theatre and are continuing to be careful, our holiday is getting a bit near. Dancing this afternoon, it’s been a busy few days!

Just got a message from one of our dancing friends who was unwell yesterday and tested positive today - a large group went to a dance break last week, there were 200 people there, and he says a couple of others are feeling unwell too - mind you, those dance breaks are full on quite apart from Covid, I was always exhausted and under the weather after being at one! He says he feels much better today.

Morning all :D

Dry at the moment, but the sky looks very grey.

We'll be watching DOI this evening too Ally, We'll probably catch up with Peaky Blinders tomorrow afternoon followed by Killing Eve on iplayer, a double treat.
Glad your trip to Aldi was a great success Jan.
Kaz is right Cruiser, everything seems to be going up.
Emotional day for you Kaz, but I'm sure you won't have to wait too london
We're continuing to be careful too Osc, don't want any delays with E's tests, he already has an appointment for the MRI in 3 weeks time.

Usual Sunday lie in for us, porridge with toast and marmalade for brekkie/lunch. I'll be cooking rotisserie chicken with veggies for dinner around 6ish, followed by Choccy blancmange with orange jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all :)

Just me, John and Bill today. Tom’s back from Wales later and Joe’s currently in West Ham’s stadium watching them and Aston Villa.
Our journey to Manchester yesterday couldn’t have been more different to the one two weeks ago which took us the scenic route and three and a half hours due to the M6 being closed. Yesterday we were parking on the stadium car park 1hr and 20 mins after leaving home, the motorway was very quiet and it was the same on the way back. It made me wonder if perhaps people are watching how many journeys they make with the price of fuel at the moment.

Jan, you’ll find some amazing things that you didn’t know you needed in the Aldi’s Aisle of Wonder

Have a good day all :D
