Afternoon all, we’ve had a lovely sunny day and it’s been mild after a frosty start.

Despite the frost, I had a very very muddy walk with Bill first thing. Two loads of washing have been done and dried and I’ve done some crochet. I’m about to do some ironing now, but first I need to find a brick wall to bang my head up against (parents and phones, give me strength!).

Enjoy the rest of the day all x

Afternoon all :)

Mick has this week off, using up the last of his annual leave before April, so we had a bit of a sleep in :) B's back to work today after her week off with Covid. I went into town to meet Em for a cuppa, bought a new sports bra, a lovely soft pyjamas hoodie and some pants - a tenner for the lot in the last of the M&S sale 8-) 8-) I do love a bargain :D Then I walked up to D's, where Mick and the pooch met me.

We watched part of the Commonwealth service then Repair Shop with D, then came home. I am reheating the last of the beef casserole I made yesterday, and we're having rice with it :) No Zumba tonight.

Really glad you're getting a bit of rain Ally :) xx

Jan, what about word games or puzzles? xxx

*Waves to everyone*

Love to all :) xxx

I knew I'd been living in Spain too long when doing an English crossword and I was answering in Spanish.

I do similar. Can't think of the English word, when I'm speaking to English about (normally ;) ) food

Was speaking to Odette this morning, about Aldi, as she's convinced it's only for foreigners, not Portuguese, trying to persuade her to try it 8-)

She might pop in sometime, then she can chat to me and Antonia about it. Different foods, she's really not willing to try.

Thanks Kaz, will have a looksee xx

Like books and a kindle, I prefer to actually have the stuff in my hand.

We very seldom buy an English paper and the first thing we so is the crossword, wordsearch, sudoko thingy and then read the paper  Mostly the Portugal News or Algarve Resident, not the English papers, way too expensive.

I disregarded Kindle for years....but can honestly say since getting my Amazon Firefox and access to zillions of cheap...and I mean cheap....books there's no turning back. :cute:

Although I'll always love a 'real' book, and indeed, still have a good couple of hundred. :D

English newspapers....personally wouldn't give them the time of day.
