Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 17 Mar 2022, 06:11

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 22C but it's not dropped below 20 for ages even with the lovely rain and the not so lovely flying sand.

Meeting Ana at 9 and we're going for a 10km walk. She's getting her fitness back up nicely after her BC last year.

This afternoon I'll nip to Mercadona and get a few bits.

GB Menu tonight along with the hoot that is The Apprentice.

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.

The sun is out with clear blue sky. Not a cloud in site. It has been cold as ther is frost on car windscreens.
Went out for a lovely lunch yesterday. It was he pensioners club at the firm I used to work for. Had it at one of the golf clubs in Preston.
Had a raffle, £100.00 going to a local charity, the rest to the Ukraine releif fund.

Now waiting for a carpet fitter to lay a small section of floor covering where the old boiler used to be. I had kept a piece of the new
floor covering when it was laid last year and there willbe plenty to cover the small area in the corner which will not be walked on.
Also an electrician is coming to disconnect the immersion heater at the main control panel. It was only disconnected at the switch in the loft.
I no longer need one as I do not have a hot water tank.

Have a good day everybody.

Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona duit! Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone. It’s bright and sunny although it looks a bit chilly. We have no plans for the day, although I suspect mine might involve some ironing. It’s a bank holiday here (another one off one tomorrow) so I’m sure Howth will be busy. Miss Osc and family have gone to Wicklow until Sunday and the weather forecast is fairly good so they should have a nice time. We’ll probably go for a walk in a while, Edward still has a cold but is feeling fine.

Morning all :D

Bright sunshine here 8-)

Lovely to see Nazanin home with her husband and daughter, but of course it's only the beginning after all the trauma she endured in captivity. I really hope they get all the help they need and they come through as a family.

Usual Thursday trip to Westwood Cross for us. Need to pick up a couple of orders, one from Boots, the other from M&S as well as the normal bits.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s sunny and breezy here. The cars were iced over first thing but it’s quite mild now.

I’ve done three loads of washing this morning, I’m sure there must be people living here who I’ve not met yet  Saying that though, one load was more of the removable covers from another sofa. One more and a chair to go.

Joe’s in college until lunchtime then he’ll do some coursework at home before going to see Amanda’s parents, her Dad wants some help with his CV so has asked him. Joe, bless him, went to visit Amanda’s Nan yesterday after college, the one who lost her husband last week. He had 3 hours with her.

We had a nice ride out to Leominster yesterday afternoon to the eye vet. They did some tests on Bill and have said he’s a good candidate for cataract removal so he should be getting them removed very soon.

I’m going to walk down to town shortly, I need to do a Home Bargains shop.

Happy St Patrick’s Day Osc!

Have a good day all :D

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally that's good news about Ana :) xx

Glad you had such a nice time yesterday Cruiser :) xx

We've had some of that sand Jan  It was on the window sills and the cars this morning :? xx

Saundra, yes all sorted thanks, he has his first shift this weekend :D xx

Happy St Patrick's day Osc, to and your family :D xx

It is lovely to see Jen, but as you say they have a road ahead xx

Jo, that's excellent news about Bill :Hi: xx

I've been to Sainsbury's with D, and done the cleaning since getting home. Mick's been weeding the paths, and the gravel, then he vacuumed the stairs for me 8-) Stir-fry for dinner, and then I have Pilates tonight.

B is on a 12hr shift - she loves her new job, as it's so much more hands-on with the animals. She's been helping in theatre, monitoring anaesthetics, suturing, and going out with the vet's on home visits :D One of the partners asked her when she's going to train as a vet nurse, and I think she's considering it :D It would be a great career move for her 8-)

Love to all :) xx
