Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 24 Mar 2022, 06:56

Good morning.

Yesterday's 10 - 4 rain didn't make an appearance...but must've through the night.

Cloudy sunshine, 20C and a shower due at 8 this evening. :cute:

Off for a walk shortly. :D

Don and Jacob want to go to IKEA. Mad. Truly mad.

I've been persuaded to go with the promise of lunch there. :D

I also decided to treat the guest bedroom to a new set of bed linen for Jackie's visit next week so I didn't need too much persuasion.

GB Menu tonight and the final The Apprentice.

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.

Another sunny day. It will be a tidying up day. Taking pressure washer to the back. Bringing the green bin back into the garage. Then lots
of housework. I can see the dust on the TV stand and the kitchen floor wants mopping.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

No point getting up early, we're in for another dull, grey and wet day. Lots more rain last night :Hi:

Cooking head on today. Curry for Saturday and a beef casserole for tonight. Need to get the last of the broccoli from the garden for tonight too. Inbetween rain showers

Footie for us tonight. I can see the last bit of GBM at half time, but I know who will win, so not too worried.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s a lovely day again. I had a bad night, got up to take paracetamol in the end for a headache. I’m feeling fairly rubbish today, it feels like the worst sinus infection I ever had, but we’ll try and get out for a walk around the block. My brother in Cork rang me, he tested positive this morning after a few days of feeling unwell. I’ve a list to work through today with regard to cancelling our cruise and need to put away the stuff I’d accumulated on the spare bed in preparation for packing. There is also ironing to be done, but it can wait. A snooze in the chair might happen at some stage ;)

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

So sorry you're missing the cruise Osc, hope it's not too long before you can book another one.

Up a bit earlier this morning as I've been asked to take part in the NHS-Galleri trial. They are taking blood samples from people between 55-77 who haven't had cancer. Apparently the Galleri test can spot many types of cancer, but not all. This trial is to see if the test could be used alongside the NHS standard cancer testing. Only half of the samples will be tested so I won't know if I'm part of the study, even if I am they won't be sending out results, but anything that helps diagnosis is worth doing. A mobile unit will be at Westwood Cross today so I'll do that bit first and then get a few bits from M&S.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s another lovely day here.

I’m just looking at bus times into town, I’ve not got much time as there’s a parcel due a little late so don’t want to walk it. The buses used to be evenly spaced at every 15 minutes but since the recent timetable change there are now two around 10 past the hour and two around 20 to. They often follow each other along the road.

Right, I’m off to catch the next one.

Hope you’re soon feeling better Osc x

Have a good day all x

That will be to do with your device Vic, and how your browser deals with cookies.

Osc, I hope you all feel better soon - I'm so sorry you're having to cancel your cruise :( xx

Saundra, the longer days are lovely :D xx

Jen, that's so worthwhile, and interesting too 8-) xx

Jo, the buses here are awful at the moment, loads of cancellations due to staff shortages  Hope you didn't have to wait too long xx

It's another stunning day here, really warm and sunny :D I've been to Sainsbury's with D, and Mick and I have just had a bite of lunch :) I put two lines full of washing out first thing, and will iron when it's dry enough. Pilates tonight :) Fraggle's leg seems better again today, so fingers crossed! XX

Love to all :) xx
