Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 19 Apr 2022, 05:43

Good morning.

Sunny and 25° forecast. 8-)

Off for a walk then back to shower etc then walk into town for my 11am haircut. How quickly these four weeks zoom round!

Jacob's signing on the dotted line for his apartment this evening (which is perfect timing as he's off tomorrow to Lisbon for 4 days  ) so he's asked us to join him and a couple of friends for a celebratory drink. :cute:

I'm thinking I'll be lazy and just pick up a couple of pizzas on the way home and watch Masterchef.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny, but blowing a hooley and has been all night

The plan was to get out and finish off the weeding once I0d done the ironing, but don't think I'll be standing upright in the wind, so that's scuppered that plan

No problem, I have plenty of books :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello and good morning
sorry (again) for not posting much... Just not been online much recently - being away in Germany I tried to log on as little as possible. The break away was good and it was good to have minimal tech exposure :D

Ally - congratulations to Jacob; I wish him many happy years in his new home x Enjoy the celebratory drinks this evening
Jan - working in really windy weather isn't fun; so good plan to stay indoors
Cruiser - hope you get done what you want to get done

Back to the usual / usual for me. About to embark on a battle with my rail company. I bought a flexi ticket on 22nd March working on the assumption that I'd use it the 22nd; 3 days the week of 28th March and then four days the week of 4th April (flexi tickets basically allow 8 days travel in a 28 day period). But because I ended up testing positive for covid I wasn't able to go in to work the week of the 4th so had four journeys remaining. Went online to day to see if I can apply for a refund, and apparently you need to apply before the ticket expires (which was yesterday - typical). So I sent off the refund application today and am preparing myself for an argument. I'll be majorly annoyed at them (and myself) if I don't get anything back.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all, it’s a lovely day here. Edward and Michael are going to play golf soon, and Kellie and I might pop over to a nearby shopping centre - she is very tired after a busy weekend and inclined to be temperamental so we shall see  Miss Osc is taking advantage of her office being closed to work today without the distraction of the phone.

Afternoon everyone :)

Congratulations to Jacob, Ally :D xx

Good idea to put your feet up Jan, and read :D xx

A busy day for you then Cruiser :) xx

Oh that is annoying Ria! I hope you get it sorted xx

Afternoon Crommers :) xx

I hope you and Kellie have a nice time Osc :) xx

Ugh you wouldn't get me on the 16th floor Saundra  I got dizzy on the 12th when we stayed in London   Hope they enjoy their holiday though xx

I've kept thinking it's Monday all day  These Bank Holidays throw me right out of whack  I went into town to get a few bits for our holiday, and to pick up a delivery from M&S. Stopped at the cafe for a cuppa. Then I called into the sunbed place for 5 minutes on a bed - it's the only thing that really sorts out my psoriasis, and the hospital haven't been in touch about light therapy since covid started :cute: Walked home just in time, as it's about to start pouring down!

Love to all :) xxx

Afternoon all :D

It would have been good morning, but my sister rang and we had a rather long catch up  They're in the process of selling their house and building a new one, it will leave them with more cash so they will be planning another trip over here, probably next year, something nice to look forward to.

Operation Karcher went quite well yesterday. The back patio looks lovely and clean, but the driveway with the same slabs has started to pit with clusters of black spots. Think I'll need to find a product to clear them.

We're having a nice quiet day, well what's left of it anyway  We'll arrange a nice meal out for when E's had his op and is getting about again. My choice for dinner so it's M&S cottage pie with veggies plus a bottle of bubbly.

Hope you all have a good day xx

The wind is still gale force  Lovely and sunny, but chilly, so the socks are back on

Both garden benches have been blown over and I was quick out of the blocks and rescued the sun lounger cushion before it landed in the pool
