Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 20 Apr 2022, 05:37

Good morning.

Sunny and 25° forecast. Nice normal April temps.

Off for a quick run then back to get Jacob, his rucksack and two mates and drop them at the airport to get their flight to rainy Lisbon.

A quiet afternoon reading for me and a swim at some point.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny again, but still blowing a hooley

Rain starts tomorrow Ally, for quite a few days

Hayfever has hit with a vengeance this morning, done nothing but sneeze

Off to do the shopping after a coffee. Aldi and the joy that is Pingo. Actually, Pingo is quite pleasant now, as not so many people are in there, abandoning their trolleys, baskets in the middle of the isles, pushing up against the butchers glass.

The wind is supposed to be getting a bit better this afternoon, so might be able to get out in the garden.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing cc

Afternoon Ally and Jan. Enjoy the rain!
Another lovely morning here. We have been for a paper and a walk around Newmillerdam. We had a coffee and a cheese and ham toastie, very nice. The ducks are all busy squabbling and making nests. Lots of people were out enjoying the sunshine, young mums with pushchairs and couples with their dogs.
I'd like to get out again this afternoon, it's too nice to be indoors,
Have a good day all.

I've been into town, posted a parcel at the PO, met my friend J for a coffee, then popped into D's to say goodbye to Jeff and Jayne who are going home this afternoon. Got invited to lunch which turned out to be a beautiful steak pie with homemade flaky pastry, and veg, followed by apple sponge and cream   I think I had better have soup for dinner later :P

Love to all xxx

Afternoon all, very late on parade today! We were up and out early as we were going to a funeral on the other side of the city - a very long standing member of the dancing community. He was 84 and had lived quite the life, a swimmer, a body builder, a diver, a golfer and of course, a ballroom dancer plus a 50 year career working for Guinness. There were loads of people there from the dance world, many of whom we have not seen for a very long time so there was plenty of hugging and catching up both before and after the mass. On the way home, we popped into the supermarket and bought two ready meals so we wouldn’t have to cook, I had a fish pie and Edward had lasagne, very tasty they were too. While the food was in the oven, I went to the post office to send off a birthday gift to my grand nephew in Cork - remember the little premature baby? He’s going to be two on Friday! We both slept very badly last night for no particular reason, so we are relaxing now and will go to bed early tonight. Weather wise, it’s been a glorious day.
