Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 21 Apr 2022, 05:53

Good morning.

Sunny and 25° 8-)

Don and I are going for a nice long walk at Guadalmar. Bit jungly, alot beachy and mega beautiful. :D

We're going to Gambrinus for lunch. Sitting outside, a couple of beers and good food will be a pleasant way to spend the afternoon. :D

Masterchef tonight. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

No wind! All gone :D Sunny morning with a gentle breeze wafting the trees. Not that warm and colder tomorrow

Washing machine on and I did my morning sneezes early this morning. 5.00  as I was letting the cat out.

Out in the garden later, put the benches upright, get some weeding on the banks done, before tomorrows rain.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Merry morning you two and everyone

Jan, your weather really can't make up it's mind. Hope you get some weeding done
Ally, enjoy - your day sounds about as perfect as can be.

Busy day for me yesterday, was in the office and it's just non-stop sorting when there. I also - for the first time - caught the bus to Woking train station. Been meaning to try it for some time as a back up and it works OK. Unfortunately more expensive and it does take longer, esp the journey home, so not an option for every day but as a one off it's fine. Karl is using my car at the moment hence the bus for me. Working from home today so no car needed.

Was about to do the weekly online shop for my neighbour but need to speak to her about getting a delivery pass. I started doing the shopping for her when Covid started and then continued as the person she used to go shopping with gave up driving. Anyway when we started it was £1.00 for delivery, then towards the end of last year (or maybe beginning this year) it went up to £2.00. But now with the petrol increase etc it's gone up to £4.00; which is the same cost for a monthly midweek delivery pass. Everything is just getting more and more expensive :(

Well, best crack on with the day - do all the things I didn't get done yesterday :)

Have a wonderful day everyone xx

Morning all, it’s shaping up to be another nice day here. We are going to dance practice this morning then Kellie is coming for the afternoon - Michael is going to a friend’s house. Before we go I want to pop up to the chemist and order prescriptions to be collected later, and I need to get petrol on our way to dancing. Having a busy week!

Good afternoon everybody.

Been to the dentist for the six monthly check up. He also polishes them. Got told off as he said I had a lot of tarter on the teeth near the gums.
But no fillings. JUst ground one tooth which had a small chip on it. I go privately and no extra charge. I consider it is worth it. Have been
seeing the same dentisr since he originally qualified many years ago.

Willbe cleaning more flags this afternoon at the back. Have got a small mparcel to send to grand-daughter so will also
have a trim to post office.

Have a good day everybody.

Afternoon all :)

I've been shopping with D, got home and made lunch for me and Mick. My washing is pretty much dry, so had better add it to the ironing pile for this afternoon :cute:  No Pilates tonight as it's still school holidays.

Ally that does sound nice! :) xx

Jan, agreeing with Ria about your weather ;) xx

Ria, you really are a lovely neighbour. :) xx

Saundra, my friend Em is a mobile hairdresser, she'd soon sort you out :D xx

Have fun at dance practice Osc, and enjoy your time with Kellie :) xx

Fingers very much crossed for E, Jen XX

Mick and I both have the dentist's tomorrow Cruiser. We also went private after discovering how much damage the old NHS one had done to B with a botched root canal  xx

Enjoy the rest of this beautiful day everyone :) xx

Afternoon everyone, hope you are all making the most of this gorgeous weather!! :D 8-)

So today is well into Week 2 of "Bathroom refurb". It's looking good though.....we don't have the flooring yet, but the walls are all cladded, the ceiling has spotlights and we have an installed bath, basin and shelf housing the latter. The toilet is hopefully arriving tomorrow, ready for installing, and while he's waiting for that, he's going to dismantle the cloakroom loo/basin/floor....so we MAY be a one toilet household over the weekend!! (en suite!) I'm also having the hall floor changed to LVT same as the cloakroom, whatever that ends up! So a fair bit of work, started last Tuesday and then had a 4 day Easter break.....this job was originally quoted for in Oct 2020 so I'm praying nothing hampers proceedings henceforth.....

I'm off today, as per, but it's gonna be an odd week as I agreed to swap days this week, so was off Tuesday and am in tomorrow.....I'm all to pot with days as it is, thanks to Easter  . And there's been no aquafit (sob!!) as our instructor is away and they can't get cover, for the evening classes, and the morning lady doesn't do school holidays.... but I went to an aquajump class on Tuesday morning which was a bit different. Two of my friends from aqua, and me, tried to arrange to meet for coffee but it didn't happen so today I have felt a bit lost, the day has been wasted in part. Is it just me, or do others really not like being home when 'stuff' is being done? :? I popped out for the weekly grocery shop and strayed by Costa for a cuppa but that's about it - oh and stripped the removable covers from the suite to wash, dry and put back on.

Kaz I've not seen a dentist since a year before lockdown!! I had a scheduled hygienist appointment but it was for March 27th 2020 so obv it was cancelled and I've not been since! My dentist was only seeing emergencies or Denplan patients, of which I am neither. I must try and sort something soon though. Hopefully your check up is straightforward x

Enjoy your evening all xx
