Does anyone know if Os is ok? Just noticed that he hasn't posted for a week..

Thank you for your kind enquiries .....
I regret to inform you that Mr & Mrs O both have Covid. :|
(And the Ostrich has the bird flu.  )

Have had to re-arrange the MOT and a couple of other appointments, but hey-ho.

And to cap it all, the Infernal Device blew up this morning - over-pressurised itself (safety features, err what safety features? ) and (judging from the loud clattering and banging) a blown joint in the mechanical gubbins.
Thankfully it dumped most of its glycol in the expansion tank, but not before dripping a fair bit down the inside of the airing cupboard and stinking the place out.
Not that Mrs O could smell it, of course, thanks to the bug. :D
Fair do's to the engineer, I put in an emergency call and they responded in 10 minutes. His reaction was "Blinkin' Heck" - or something closely akin to it. ;)

Upshot is - we're getting rid of it. An expensive mistake, it's never really worked properly, and has cost us over £5K in installation and maintenance over the last 5 years while producing very little hot water.

Sorry to here about your troubles with the infernal device Os, and I hope you and Mrs O recover soon from being smitten with the Covid.

Thanks, all.
We're still a bit rough to be honest, sore throats and hacking coughs (luckily we had plenty of Strepsils in). But if you stand back and look at it, it just seems like a very nasty, elongated cold, you wouldn't really even call it like flu. Mrs O has had more of the "classic symptoms", loss of taste and smell and chills and hot flushes - I haven't, but I'm about 3 days behind her.

We know exactly where we got it from - Master O! He was down here, and on his second day, he tested positive. We sent him packing back to Sussex!

I think it's just a question of resting up and sleeping whenever it comes over us. When I did the test, I got two very thick red lines!

Has anyone else actually had it?

Not me Os, but MrsC, our son and daughter and son in law have all had it. MrsC still has a peffy cough from it.
