Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 18 May 2022, 06:07

Good morning.

Hot! 8-)

Going for a walk with Don to Guadalmar coast where hopefully there will be a cooling breeze. Living inland there's no such thing.

Back to hide under my favourite palm tree by the pool.

Repair Shop and Sewing Bee tonight. :D :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Foggy   Will be another lovely, warm day when it clears.

Off to Ourique after breakfast, for the weekly runaround. Lots to do this morning. Bank, Alentejano, Nelson, Marco, Aldi, Chinese and then Pingo. Phew.

Pit stop for coffee and then in the pool. With my new lilo, once Grumpy gets it blown up

I need to ring my nhs pension people, they were supposed to halt payments until I sorted out the new bank, but they haven't, so that needs sorting. It's not a lot each month, but it's gone into the wrong bank. And the bank shouldn't have accepted it, as I'd closed the account

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Hope you can catch some breeze Ally xx

That bank stuff sounds a nuisance Jan, hope you can get it sorted easily xx

Oh that’s a late night for them all Saundra :? I hope we don’t get delayed tomorrow, our flight is 10pm here which is late enough! Gets us into Gatwick at around 11pm UK time then we also have a good two hour drive at best xx

Kalimera! It’s our last full day here. Tomorrow we have to check out by lunchtime then wait around a few hours for the airport transfer. Making the most of it on the beach today :) Watching some yachts on the horizon, and also some funny little pedalos that make it look like cars driving on the water  Will have a swim later, that’s about the extent of my efforts for the day :D

Take care everyone :) xx

Merry morning everyone

Kaz, can't believe it's your last day already - that has really flown by. And that is a long / late drive home for you once you land
Saundra, that is a long journey home - bet they were glad to finally get in and hope they can have a chilled day today
Jan, hope you get everything sorted in town. Take the lilo with you and pump it up at the petrol station ;-) Fingers crossed with the NHS pension - that does sound like it could be a challenge
Ally enjoy your day - sounds fairly as perfect as can be really.

Another day in the office for me today; three last week and three this week; I'm tired :D - lots of people over from our US office and two large lunch meetings that I had to sort out. Good fun but busy and you just don't get a chance to do much of your regular job.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all, it’s mostly cloudy but the sun is trying to get through. Edward will put our new garden chairs on the terrace which probably guarantees rain :D Gym this morning, then I’ll pop in to see my sister as it’s her birthday and I have a present for her. Supermarket delivery later in the afternoon, and getting Michael and Kellie’s room ready for their 3 night sleepover from tomorrow. Right, must tidy around and get a wash on.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Just another walk along the cliff top for us today. I didn't get as far as E yesterday, but there are plenty of benches and just being out in the sun looking out to sea is lovely.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Happy birthday to your sister Osc xx

Very noticeable that a lot more people wearing masks in Ourique. All the shops, apart from the Aldi, had staff wearing them too. The numbers have rocketed since it was no long mandatory to wear them everywhere.

But sods law still operates. I needed a bread knife, bought one in the drogaria for 8€. Went to Aldi and they had a box of ceramic knives, including a bread knife  Six knives, on peeler for 11.99€

So I bought them as well

Hazy sunshine now, but warm. The pool and my new lilo call 8-)
