Morning Ally, morning everyone

Warm already, with a weird sky. We-re in for ore of that dust

Watering done. We always have this discussion. Is it better to water at night, but then the ground is warm. Or is it better to do it in the morning, when the ground is cool. Soe people say that the water evaporates quicker in the morning, but I can-t see that one. It-s not as hot now as it would be at, say 8.00 tonight.

Will get the cleaning out of the way and then that is it for the day. Pool and reading.

Off out to dinner tonight. Stopping at Jan-s on the way, to water her veggie garden.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Good morning everybody.

The sun is trying to come out so it may get warm again.
I may be taking a lady who lives at the top of the crescent shopping this morning. She has had an accident in her car and the garage is
waiting for a part from Korea to finish the repairs. She has been to see her son in Australia and hoped it would be finished when she came back.
But she is still waiting..
Then I will be dusting and polishing.
Have a good day everybody.

Good morning you two, morning everyone

Enjoy your day Ally - sounds like another perfect day in paradise to me
Jan, here in the UK I always water in the morning if I can better because the damp soil at night is absolute heaven for slugs and snails. But with your heat I probably would agree that evening watering is better because the hot sun will dry out the ground quicker; so evening watering the water has more time to soak right down? Not sure how much of an issue slugs and snails are where you are though?
Cruiser, no sign of any sun here - rain expected through to this afternoon. Lovely of you to help the neighbour; bet she hugely appreciates it!

Well I have the day off today; yippeeee. I just logged on and checked a few emails and have now switched on my out of office :Hi: I've done the online Sainsbury's order for my neighbour, a quick pop in on here to say hello, and then I'll switch off the laptop and pootle around. Had originally planned on spending a few hours at the allotment, but as mentioned; it's a tad wet out there ;-) 2pm Nadine and I are meeting up with a friend for lunch; said friend had a baby back in December and we haven't seen her yet so will be lovely to have a good natter and baby cuddles

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all, it’s rather dull here, and surprise surprise, could rain later. I’m sleep deprived - Michael and Kellie arrived to our bedroom at 2am saying they couldn’t sleep - Kellie had slept when she went to bed at 8.30 and Michael not at all. I settled them back down with a good sprinkling around of lavender oil and they did go asleep after a while. As for me - still wide awake 1 1/2 hours later  I slept eventually, but was up at 7.30 to get them ready for school. Early to bed tonight for everyone! We’ll be collecting them from school and I’ll drop Edward and Michael to the funeral home where BIL is lying in repose, then I will bring Kellie to her gymnastics class. Tomorrow is the funeral, in the local church at 10am, so another early start. My sister will take over M&K after that while we go to the crematorium and whatever is happening afterwards. Edward is going out to play golf shortly and I think I might grab another hour in bed.

I’m sure Kaz is enjoying a lie in after her delayed flight last night!

Osc, unfortunately not! Woke at around 8.30 and neither of us could get back to sleep! We got home at 4am   Long, sad tale that I won't bore you with consisting of flight delays, a prior "incident" on the M25 that had us static on the motorway for ages, then when we got to Swindon the A419 was closed so we took the pretty route from there :? :cute: Already been to Sainsbury's for a few bits, just getting breakfast, then B and Mick are going to collect Fraggle while I crack on with the washing  Round to see D later :) xx

So sorry to hear your sad news, Osc :( xxx

Fabulous holiday, but never doing a night flight ever again

Love to all xxxx

Afternoon all, I’ve finally sat down for the first time since 6am

Bill was walked first thing and then it was home to hit the housework before the Tesco order came between 10 and 10.30. That came early, at 9.45, so the hoovering was abandoned. I got that all put away by 10.15 and decided to mow the lawns before it started to rain, I also planted up some begonias in a pot for by the front door.

Then it was back to the hoovering. That was interrupted by Joe wondering where the travel plugs are. I know we used them when we went to Prague in 2019 but they weren’t where we usually keep them, looked in other places too but nothing. A bit of online detective work revealed that Tom and Shannon went to Paris later that year and that subsequently led to the discovery of a travel plug on Tom’s bookcase. No idea where the others are though, probably with Shannon. Joe says that Amanda has one too so that should be okay for them to charge their phones.
Then it was back to the hoovering - again - before starting the ironing.

Once that was done I decided to walk around to the pharmacy with a couple of Bill’s eye drop prescriptions, all of the drops which he has are ‘human’ drops. They were going to take around 15 minutes to do so I said I’d go back and went for a walk (could’ve gone home but it’d just wind Bill up when I had to go back out again). Gave them 20 minutes and they hadn’t actually got them in stock, wouldn’t be able to get them until the middle of next week so advised me to try elsewhere.

We’ve also had deliveries by Amazon and DPD, Hermes or whatever they’re now called are due within the next couple of hours.

Lovely to see you back Kaz!

Have a good day all :D
