Just googled and Motherwell to Nottingham is around 430 kms.

Conor's paid 50€ each way for us to Madrid but it is 530kms away and on the AVE.

I bet that’s a really nice train journey down to Nottingham

I do not have a Senior Rail Card even though it was over 9800 days since I turned 60. I don't travel very often on the train so not really worth it.
I can travel on the train in the Greater Manchester area for free after 9.30 a.m in the week and all day Saturday & Sunday for an annual charge of
£10.00. It used to be free asc partb of the bus pass but have now includedit when a new pass is issued.
