Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 24 May 2022, 04:55

Good morning.

6.55am and it's already really flippin hot!

Just leaving for my walk.

Quick swim when I get home then get ready for a dental check-up at 11.30.
The dentist I've had for the past 17 years has retired so I'm feeling a bit weird seeing someone new.

Silent Witness tonight if only to count the amount of times the cast raise their eyebrows.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny, with white fluffy clouds :Hi: But blowing an absolute hooley, so feeling really cold out there

No fun trying to do the watering, with the hose pipe  Water everywhere, except where I needed it to go

Not doing a lot today, we stayed at the bar faaaaar longer than we should have done, two lots of Smiths turned up and we'd already been there for an hour or so

Making a chili later, think we need something warm for dinner  8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning, the sun’s trying to come out here.

Up at stupid o’clock this morning. Joe and Amanda wanted to leave early for Gatwick, John was giving them a lift, and had decided on 7am but then Joe’s been stressing about something going wrong so 6am was decided on in the end….he texted me at 9.58 to say they’d just gone through security.
Their flight is at 3.15 so they’ve got a bit of time to kill  They’ve gone with hand luggage only though so they’re going to buy their toiletries at Boots once in the departure lounge and get something to eat and drink too so it’ll soon pass.

Hope all goes well with the new dentist Al. I seem to get a different one every year at the one I go to, there’s just one who I’ll actively avoid though because he’s so abrupt.

Have a good day all :)

Merry morning all

another few days gone since I last posted - sorry. Had a lovely weekend and yesterday started off busy and stayed that way all day :D

Ally, good luck with the dentist
Ooh, chilli sounds nice for dinner Jan - might make some at some point. Got the ingredients at home
Saundra, what are you knitting?
LOL Jo, that's a lot of spare time at the airport - that's good of John to give them a lift all the way to Gatwick; that's quite a drive!

Office day for me today and then hopefully not needed back in until the week of the 6th (booked holiday for next week) :) Weather is so so; can't make up it's mind if it wants to rain or sunshine so got a bit of everything.

Have a lovely day all x

Ria, when Joe booked it he wasn’t aware of where Gatwick was - he was led by the cheaper price!
I asked him a few weeks ago how they were planning on getting there and back and he said he was going to ask John for lifts. I told him he’d have to think again as it’s something like a 330 mile round trip each time and would mean him taking two days off work so they’ve compromised and had a lift today and are getting three trains and a tube back next week. Factor the train fares in and it’s not worked out any cheaper.
He’ll remember next time

Morning all, lots of cloud here but when the sun comes out, it’s nice and warm. I had a load of washing ready to go out and got up at 7am to put on another one - don’t worry, I did go back to bed  All out on the line now waving in the breeze. Ironing to do this morning, then later today I’m going out with my sister and Miss Osc, to have something to eat and go to the show “Anything Goes” - I’ve seen it before many years ago, not one of my favourites but it’s a birthday treat for my sister. Edward has gone to play golf, his knee “went” when he was coming home yesterday so he’s limping around like a true martyr, my attitude is if he can play golf, I don’t worry too much about his knee ;)

Morning all :D

Lovely and sunny first thing, now it's raining

Doesn't look as though we'll be getting a walk today, but I do need to drive to Waitrose, I have a couple of vouchers which run out tomorrow. Has anyone been watching The Staircase, it's based on a true story? We binged the first three episodes yesterday and looking at the weather will probably get through a few more today.

Hope you all have a good day xx
