We're going to condemn the partying and heavy drinking now?
Might as well close government now because that's about 90% of them stuffed.
Honestly, this entire situation is stratified. On one side the finger wagging and "you should have been better". On the other side "Whatever, we've MUCH bigger fish to fry".
It isn't going to change so it is not worth worrying about. However, 2 years from now, when it comes to election time, those who are heartily sick and tired of this hardcore attempt to unseat a sitting PM are going to vote.
Then we will see just how successful this massive attempt was. Because Bojo is going nowhere and, still, nobody wants his job. First we had Brexit. Nobody really wanted that or Bojo would not be there. Then we had Brexit and Covid. Nobody wanted to get within 10 feet of that. Now we have fading Covid and an economic recession driven by the expenditure needed to counteract the impact of Covid and Russia on tour throwing a major war. Nobody wants anything to do with that.
All that will be remembered, come 2 years from now, is the increasingly strident shrieking that Bojo still hasn't Gone. Of course he hasn't gone. Because taking his seat is a 1 way trip to Oblivion, even for Starmer.
Oh I'm sure the plotters were all set, Covid on the wane, economy ticking up, get to the starting blocks and leak enough info so that Bojo has nowhere to turn.
Then Russia throws a war. Now we've got an international crisis and Bojo is not too bad at that. But it's all in place, everyone ready, leaks done, press on a roll. Only to find that all the runners have left the track and changed into casual clothes and are in the stand watching an empty track.
No Sympathy.
