Walk shortly then a swim.

Need to get some food shopping done then delegate Don, Jacob and a bedroom of suitcases.

Conor and Lucia return from Rome later today. He's sent me loads of pics and said he's had a fantastic time.

Good morning to you Ally and everyone - happy Monday

Ally, it feels like it's been autumn here since last autumn; we didn't have proper winter; just cool / cold, windy and more often than not drizzly / rainy for what seems like ages. So enjoy that warmth for us!

Well another weekend that just whizzed by. Busy Saturday doing bits and bobs, yesterday a lovely walk in the morning and then F1 watching at Karl and Nadine's followed by a BBQ. I've got the week off; have a list of things I'd like to get done - just how much of that happens will be anyone's guess. I'm really struggling to find my usual va va voom at the moment so need to just get on with it.

Pootling for me today, I can get out in the garden and hopefully clear a couple of the larger flower beds. Managed to get the lower drive cleared yesterday, before the clouds went and it got rather warm

Just do what you feel like Ria, if you want to sit and read, do that and then do something else.

Morning all, it’s dull and quite cool.

Joe and Amanda are currently in New St waiting for their fourth train of the morning. When I booked their trains I was mindful of the price and also the fact that their flight could be delayed so Joe told me to go for the first ‘cheap’ journey which left Gatwick at 7.57am. As it was they were on time and had no luggage to wait for so rather than hang around the airport station they got on an earlier train and went into London for a mooch around.
Odd thing though. I woke around 3am (which is unusual for me) and my first thought was that I wondered if they’d landed yet. I picked up my phone and was about to open Flightradar24 when a text popped up from Joe saying ‘landed’

Tom’s off this week with it being half term, he’s gone out though to do some work.

Morning all, it’s fairly dull here with rain forecast for later - how many times have I written that recently Edward has gone to play golf, and I’ve just given one of the bathrooms a thorough cleaning, that odd urge to clean the house before going on holidays. Speaking of which, HUGE problems at Dublin airport over the weekend with about 1000 people missing flights after queueing for hours to get in. I’m trying very hard not to panic about next Friday which will have the added pressure of it being a bank holiday weekend. Ok, I’ll be off to the gym shortly, and am expecting a parcel to be delivered between 13.17 and 14.17 - DPD are very precise

It has been raining and there are still lots of gery clouds. Have renewed my house insurance. Have changed insurance companies and
it is cheaper than last year with similar cover. Pays to shop around. Will now be looking at travel insurance as I am going on a cruise in August.
Will be doing some housework this afternoon

Morning all

Started a bit dull, but the sun's coming out now.

We had lovely news yesterday, eldest daughter is coming to visit tomorrow, even more exciting she's bringing Hannah and our great granddaughters We haven't seen the girls for about 3 years, they were so small last time I doubt they will remember us, they've certainly grown a lot.

It's operation house clean today, I've been keeping it tidy and surface clean since E came home from hospital, but it definitely needs a good going over. Means he will probably have a walk round here by himself later.
