It is stunning and I love some of these lowland places.

But my heart is in the highlands, the pic below is about 1hr from where I was Christened and spent 20 years of my life. I've been there. Need to go again before my knees need replacing.

Have been to Scotlandmany times. Went to the OuteHebrideswhen I wasin the Scouts.

Got as fr as Inverness when I was working and saw the salmon jumps at Pitlochry.

In addition to the lovely scenery they produce some very good whisky!!!

Both areas absolutely stunning - Scotland is just beautiful; but then so is most of the UK (well I think so )

When we brought our French twinning to Scotland a few years ago we took them over the centre of the country from the east coast to Oban. They couldn't get over how wild and unoccupied it was.

France is tame by comparison. That, for me, is the beauty of it. You really can "get away"
