The BMW C1 was an open sided motorcycle which you needed to use foul weather gear to ride and you still needed protective gear. Almost all implementations of two wheeled transport have revolved around putting your foot down when stopped.

They are all based on the motorcycle and, sad as it is, the vast majority of people are scared of them and don't want the discomfort of them.

No heating in a motorcycle variant. I love bikes but one ride in -7 freezing fog at night showed me the stark reality. When my visor froze I had to open it. When my eyeballs froze I had to shut my eyes. Not the best way to get around.

The LIT C-1 is what all 2 wheeled commuter vehicles could be. Small, fast agile and inherently very safe. With car levels of comfort

Now it will never be.

BTW did you notice the stabilisers shooting down when the gyro-x was rocked?? This is why it is so wide. The Lit is designed to be fully stabilised without additional wheels.

I mentioned the Gyro-X as the fist of concept, the EcoMobile was only a bike's with, though it also has stabilisers, retracted in the first few metres.... and I did notice the kind of kick-down stand just in front of the rear wheel when the Lit is stationary / parked. It is clever but not the future.

I don't want a two wheeled anything and I'm betting most older people won't either.

We are very lucky here, we have a brilliant bus service, it comes along every seven minutes or so and loops round Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate plus everything along the way. I still use the car if we're buying more than a few bits, but if necessary we could get around happily without a car. Parking at our largest shopping centre is free as it is at all the supermarkets.

Meanwhile my parents who live 5 miles outside the city of Lincoln get a bus once every two hours outside peak.

The reason I mentioned the concept of the Lit was that it drives like a car, has car levels of comfort and parks like a motorcycle.

The idea seems sound.

I can go to Chorley in the car and have three hours FREE parking. There has ben some development including an M& S food outllet on partof the main car park.
It was known as The Flat Iron. There is still a good ironmongers and a veg stall, cheese stall and several local butchers.

I sometimes go on thye bus as there is s regular service, every 20 minutes. Will not go to any of the big towns such as Manchester
or Liverpool.

The Lit was supposed to drive like 4 wheels, have a top speed of 100mph and go 200 miles on a charge. Hard to fact check but the idea is there.
