Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 13 Jul 2022, 05:58

Good morning.

Another gorgeous sunny day. 8-)

It was great meeting Don at the airport yesterday and the three of us had a lovely evening. :D

Craig's in Leicester today and Don and I are going for a long walk (sun factor prepped  ) along the canal side.
I noticed yesterday on the bus it looked a smashing walk with various pubs dotted along the way where we can stop for lunch. :P
There was also lots of little boats moored so I'll be having a look at those. Nerdy Norma also does boats.

Craig's local tonight for a few beers then the Indian restaurant awaits.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

We still have the white sky full of dust  No wind and feeling rather warm already. Another 41C today.

Sounds a lovely day Ally, enjoy x

Off to do the supermarket shopping soon and then back to stay in. Will take all the re-cycling down this morning as the bins, at last have been emptied. The council gave us an extra one of each, then leave it for twice as long before they empty them. The site was just stuffed with boxes and bags, a right mess.

Ham, egg and chips for dinner. Makes a change from salad

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s cloudy and humid here.

Bill’s had his walk, he’s been playing with a puppy (a naughty puppy who wouldn’t do as he was told  ). I’ve known the owner for years and he and his very calm older dog both looked very exasperated

John’s now got three days off, he hasn’t managed to get any proper time off so far this year apart from days for Bill’s appointments. We don’t have any plans, it’s too hot to think of going out anyway.

My main job today is cleaning Tom’s coffee machine which has been in the garage since he came home from university.

Joe was messaging me from the Jamaica Inn last night, they’d stopped there for dinner on the way to Falmouth. It’s Amanda’s graduation later so I’m hoping for photos of them both dressed up - Joe’s even bought a new suit!

Have a good day all :D

Good morning everybody.

The sun is out but there are a few grey clouds. Will just be pottering today both inside and out.

Ally, I went for a walk along part of the canal near Chorley. Saw some houses being built on the opposite side of the canal. There was no garden
the wall of the huse nearly at the edge of the canal. There is a steep slope down so very little chance of flooding.
Probably need at least one million to buy one.

Near where I live on the Liverpool/Leeds canal there are 21, yes twenty one locks raising the level nearly 200 feet in about two miles.

Have a good day everybody

Morning all.
A lovely morning here.
Yesterday we had Eliza who decided to play at being a Vet to all her cuddly toys.
Colin Bear was diagnosed with being run down and Dr Eliza prescribed bed rest!   So he got tucked up in bed.
What a child.
Today we will be on the scout for some more salad stuff and maybe looking for a bucket hat for MrsC. She tried our daughter's Kangol brand hat on holiday and really liked it but fainted when she saw it was £30+.
Onwards and upwards, have a great day everyone.

Morning all :D

It started a bit cloudy, but the sun's out in force now, very hot 8-)

We went to the cinema to see Thor: Love and Thunder yesterday, loved it, lots of action and other nonsense, exactly what we expected  Today we're well slathered up with the F50 and will be off for a walk along the seafront shortly. Planning a light lunch when we reach the harbour, we'll probably share a panini with a cup of coffee each. The Pavilion only charge £1.20 per person for unlimited coffee, a great deal.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, we’ve been to Edward’s sister’s place so he could give her shed a second coat of Cuprinol. She was painting a couple of wooden planters she bought, and I sat in the sun “supervising” ;) Then it was down to the big new Aldi downstairs, always so tempting! Back for a cuppa and nice lemon drizzle cake. We’re at home now, the sun has mostly gone in but it’s still nice and warm.
