Sun cream

Postby miasmum » 19 Jul 2022, 09:56

My friend and I were saying yesterday we wished sun cream had a sell by date. I found out this morning that no it doesn't have a sell by date, but on the back label there is a number for instance 18m on a diagram of a pot, I have put a photo on Facebook but it says it is too large for here, and that is how long it last once opened. In my case 18 months

I knew that but never pay much attention to it as I can never remember when it was opened, and I can’t be bothered to mark it

but with your holidays you probably use it up Osc. The one I used yesterday could have been in the cupboard for years, I never use it normally, so I was lucky it worked

Quite a lot of them last 12-18mths when opened, 2 years unopened. Tbh I didn't usually bother too much, most of what I bought was used up on holidays. I'm a lot more aware these days, especially for E after his melanoma scare some years ago.
