He’s not too bad, thanks Shell and Ria. A bit better, he’s up and dressed as Fraggle needed dropping off for his tooth extraction. He stayed in the car, Becky took him inside. B and I are still negative, fingers crossed! XX

I read on the daily thread about B’s work not wanting her in. I expect it’s a worry for a lot of people who are about to go away. John was saying that Xana at his office was worrying last week and was wearing a mask and frequently spraying everything because people had tested positive and she was flying to Greece at the weekend.

If you’re fully vaccinated
The following requirements for entry to Greece apply regardless of your vaccination status, and apply to all travellers.

Precise rules are subject to change and you should follow any instructions given on arrival at immigration or airport testing facilities. For more information, check the Greek authorities’ advice.

Passengers arriving in Greece do not need to show a proof of COVID vaccination, a negative COVID test, or a certificate of recovery from COVID. You do not need to complete a Passenger Locator Form (PLF).

Travellers are still required to wear a mask on public transport.

So if you are fully vaccinated (3x), you don't need to test or anything. OK it's not nice feeling bad on your holiday but if you don't test there is nothing to stop you flying. I'm wondering whether it was because she was worried about feeling bad whilst there or about being blocked from flying? Or is she not vaccinated?

It was a combination of not wanting to feel ill on holiday if by chance she tested positive after arriving there and not wanting to fly if positive because of the potential of ruining the holidays of the other passengers.

Anyway both Mick and I tried to report our positive results, but both got a message saying the barcodes weren’t recognised It’s almost as though the government doesn’t want to know…..

I just posted on the daily thread that John’s sister tested positive today. She’s avoided it throughout even though she’d been in close contact with her son and his girlfriend when they both had it and she also works in a hospital (which was on the news at one time for being seriously affected).
There seems to be no escaping it.

Very commendable.

I suspect the whole reporting thing is down to the fact that Covid is no longer an infection you must report and even if you detect positive it is not mandatory to isolate unless you are someone who is professionally close to vulnerable people all the time.
