Good morning.

Gorgeous sunshine and 29°. 8-)

Early swim first. :D

Walking into town later for brunch with a friend. :D

Think an early doors beer or two will be in order. We can pick up a campero takeaway on the way home.

Masterchef tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Damp but warm ish this morning. More rain to come :Hi:

I'd forgotten that I had bought some new bedding and towels for when the family arrive and found it all yesterday. So that all needs washing  and as the sheets are cotton, ironing

And it's wet, so I can't put it outside, so I've done one load this morning and it's draped over the clothes horse at the back, where it should dry.

Onto the second bedroom this morning, to clean that. We bought a hand held vacuum in Aldi and it's brilliant. Sounds like a supersonic jet when it's first switched on  (makes me jump, every time  ) and I'll do the en-suite, even though it's not been used for a couple of years.

Footie and Masterchef might cause a discussion later

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

The sun's out, think we're in for a nice day 8-)

Up really early, Mike our boiler man has just arrived, it's annual service time. When he's finished we'll be off to Westwood Cross to do our weekly M&S run.

Watched the procession from the palace to Westminster Hall yesterday, it's a fair way to walk. I know the soldiers are used to marching, but it must have been a strain for the royals, especially Anne. it's not something she's used to doing and she's hardly stopped since the Queen died. I found it all very moving.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s mostly cloudy here. Edward headed off to play golf but came back saying it was cold, changed his shorts for trousers and put on a sweater for the first time in months. I have bits and pieces to do, renew prescriptions, go to the post office to take out money, put away the first batch of summer clothes ( :( ), then I’ll be collecting Kellie from school at 2.30, normal Thursday except without Michael.

Two bedrooms down :Hi:

Did some washing, as the clouds disappeared and the sun was rather warm.

Sat down and the heavens opened

Now having to go into Ourique as I noticed that one of the car tyres is almost bald, so need to order two more

I've collected six beach towels, a canteen of cutlery and a floor steamer. Sun beds are arriving this afternoon.

Pit stop at the bar on the way back.

Afternoon all :)

Been food shopping as per, done some washing, bit of cleaning since I got back. We're driving over to Oxford a bit later to see P (Poll78 on here) and her daughter A, who are there for an open day, just overnight. It will be great to see them both, the last time I saw A she was little :D

Love to all :) xx

Afternoon all, it’s been a sunny day but it’s definitely cooling down a bit.

Had a frustrating morning of trying to call the hospital about Joe’s phone appointment this afternoon. It was initially scheduled for two weeks ago but he wasnt going to be available so asked if I’d call and rearrange. You can’t call the general appointment line, you have to rearrange appts with the haematology secretaries and they’re rarely available on any of the four numbers provided and he couldn’t keep trying while at work. Anyway, I eventually managed to speak to one of them and his appointment was cancelled and rebooked for today.

However, the consultant called MY phone to speak to him at the time of the cancelled appointment!

His last two annual appts have been by phone and each time my phone has been called and each time I’ve had to go through the palaver of calling the secretaries afterwards and getting the contact number changed to Joe’s number. Last year the consultant phoned while I was out with Bill and as she’d called my mobile I couldn’t get his number of my phone to give her while I was using it so had to ask her to call me back.
I thought this morning that I’d better ring and check if they actually have his number on record.

Anyway, I eventually got through just after lunch and apparently there’s a software glitch when it comes to changing numbers. I brought up the appointment not being cancelled too and that’s also a glitch

Blimey Jo

Please say hello to Poll and A :D Amazing how the time has just shot past.

We have six sun loungers coming from Vilamoura on Sunday, as well as cushions 8-)

Dark, but nowhere near as cold as the forecast says.
