Jo.....my most favourite book is Year Of The King by Antony Sher.

It's about his rehearsals leading up to him playing Richard the Third for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
His description of the opening night is so thrilling even after reading it ten times! I still feel as if I'm in the audience.

Coming a very, very close second is The Catcher in the Rye.

And I have to put Joe Orton's diary in here too.

And as I type my head is full of books that I just absolutely adore.

I love Catcher In The Rye too, funnily enough I went into Tom’s room the other to pick up his washing and saw my (very old) copy on his bookshelf and thought that I really must re-read that again soon.

I bought the first Adrian Mole book for the Kindle for 99p yesterday - it’s the 40th anniversary of it’s release!

I’m currently reading Act of Oblivion by Robert Harris. It’s set in the 1660s and us really interesting. Robert Harris is so good at writing factual history stories with a couple of fictional characters to carry the story.
