Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 04 Oct 2022, 06:11

Good morning.

Hot and sunny. 8-)

The Spanish Bradley Wiggins  has suggested a bike ride so we're heading off around 10.
The route is about 20kms but once we're out of our village which is very hilly it'll be mostly flat....till we get home again.

I should think we'll relax this afternoon.

Have a great day.

Morning! :)

Ally   I hope you and Bradders enjoy :D ;) xx

It's full here, looks like rain. Mick will be busy with D's hallway today, so I might just have a rare day indoors 8-) Will see how I feel.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

We have the Saraha dust still, so the sky is still weird, at least we'll be 31C too later.

My Karcher arrived yesterday :Hi: so we'll have a play with that :D

A rather disturbed night. Lovely to get into our own bed, in our own house, then got dive bombed by a mozz  then Moly wanted something to eat and half an hour later, to go out.

Then a text, telling Grumpy that his booster and flu jab is next week and to confirm. Do it in the morning, he said. An hour later and got another text  So answered that one and instead of 10.14, it's now 12.04  That'll larn me

Washing machine will be doing about four loads today

I have a horrendously sore throat, but only on the right and the sniffles

Enjoy the bike ride Ally and have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Oh, and I need to ring Sergio, our electrician, as I managed to lose all the sockets in the kitchen over the week-end

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast

We were up at silly o'clock his morning, E had an appointment for a blood test. All done now, just had brekkie.

Just wondering why our GP surgery still insists on everyone wearing a mask, our local hospital stopped making everyone wearing one a while back :?

Popping out to M&S shortly, there's an order waiting for me. It didn't arrive until Friday, too late to pick it up when we were there shopping. Wouldn't bother, but I ordered a top in 2 sizes so will want to return one of them this Thursday. Their sizing is all over the place these days, bring back the St. Michael days (now that does make me old  ) when all their clothes were made in the UK and sizing was spot on whatever you bought.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s overcast here and rain is forecast. My sister and I are meeting our American cousin for lunch, he and his wife have been in Ireland for almost a month, he met up with my brother in Cork last month. They are coming on the train and there are plenty of restaurants near there including a good one actually under the station. Yesterday, we booked a week in the snow for early next year, we don’t ski but have wanted to do this for a while and it proved impossible to book just two or three days. Always good to have something to look forward to.

Yesterday’s expected parcel didn’t arrive and when the time window was almost gone, I checked the tracking to see that it had been delivered to 27 Abbey Street, Dublin 1 and we are 27 Abbey Street, Howth, Dublin 13  It is something ordered from Italy and is the second thing from Italy recently that has been incorrectly addressed - they must not read the address supplied too carefully, the last thing ended up in Cork! I got on to DPD and now I see that it is supposed to be delivered today but no text as yet - I did get a text about the delivery of my monthly book, so maybe it will be with that. Our mattress topper is supposed to be delivered tomorrow, luckily Edward will be here in the morning.

Morning all, it’s supposed to be dry here but the drizzle started just after I hung a full line of washing out to dry.

Joe was saying that Amanda’s Nan is in hospital after a fall on Sunday, the poor lady had to wait over 12 hours for an ambulance (they couldn’t get her in the car). At first it was thought that she’d dislocated her knee but she’s since been Xrayed and it’s broken so they’re waiting to hear if she needs surgery. She fell off her steps in the kitchen, the council were :) coming to assess her kitchen to see if she needed a new one but she doesn’t want it doing so was making sure it was sparkly clean and looked too good to replace before the visit.

Got some new secateurs being delivered today, can’t find mine anywhere. They weren’t expensive from Amazon and I’d only had them a couple of years but they were brilliant and cut through small branches and twigs with ease so I’ve ordered the same make again. I’ll probably find the old pair now

Enjoy the bike ride Al!

Jen, I find that with M&S sizes too. I’ve ordered some boots from there which I need to pick up on Friday.

Have a good day all

Morning all.
Dull here, rain is forecast for this afternoon.
We have been to the tip to take a large children's toy to the tip, plus the old bird feeding pole.
Enjoy the bike ride Ally. That must be really annoying Osc! Jo, that poor woman.
Don't know what we are doing this afternoon, but the air fryer thread has definitely made me want to investigate them. Heating a big oven for one small item can't do your energy bill any good.
Have a good day everyone.
