I didn't say it should. I said it was.

Personally, I'm on record as telling the party they need to deselect a good chunk of them before I'll fund them to another election.

They won't deselect them so they can go whistle for my funds. They'll be looking long and hard for funds come the next election.

I am heartbroken for them, or maybe I'm not. The last thing the Cons will be short of is 'dodgy' funds from donors who want a return for their donations. "Minister" Robert Jenrik's dealings ring any bells, Ben Elliot 'cash for acces to the PM' at £250k a throw, the Russian oligarch 'Lord'?
