The Proclaimers last night were fantastic!

Today we're meeting uncles Stanley and Stefan again for a coffee.

Pop over to see Lena and John.

Up to the cemetery again for mum and dad.

Back to the apartment to actually just 'be' for a few hours.

It's been a truly hectic week but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Seeing family and friends is so lovely.

Tonight I'll pop up to the pub to see friends then pick up a Chinese takeaway on the way home.

What a good night sleep. We've not long woken up Normally, the house dogs would be out by 7.00 and then they start barking. Not a thing this morning

Supposed to be doing the cleaning this morning, but the Wales match starts soon, so the cleaning will be done tomorrow. I might get some of it done today and the rest tomorrow.

A wander around the garden again, different part this time, weeding.

Stir fry for dinner, by request.

Morning all, it is sunny and cold here, Edward is just heading out to play golf. I need to do the ironing, I’ll make some soup and maybe clean the shower door. Our boiler went on the blink yesterday, no heat brrrr and no hot water. It has this thing where the pressure drops and you have to adjust it, but that didn’t work so Edward reckoned there was a problem with the valve. Luckily we have a gas fire and an immersion for hot water (which hadn’t been used since we moved in!) Edward rang the plumber at 8.30 who was going to another job for the day and said he would call on his way home this evening. Then he asked what was the reading on the valve, Edward told him, and he said he would call on his way to the other job - he was here in 10 minutes! He had a look, asked for a hammer, gave it a bit of a bang and it worked He is putting us down for a service, when the valve will be replaced. The benefits of a plumber who only lives up the road, he wouldn’t take any money either. Right, better get moving >>>>>>

Thank goodness your plumber lives nearby Osc, sensible idea to get it serviced.
I'd never heard of the Rington's tea man Crommers, had to look it up on google. Tbh we don't drink tea but out of curiosity I checked and they don't deliver to our area, orders would be delivered via courier. Do you have an actual direct van delivery?

We bought some new outdoor lights yesterday, nothing particularly special, just the usual string lights to go round the guttering. We did try icicles the first year, but they only lasted for that year. Doesn't seem to matter where we get them, the string lights only last about 2-3yrs. These are cheap and cheerful from Tesco. We're hoping to get them up today while it's nice and dry although they won't get turned on just yet. We did think should we this year, but E says it's only once a year and they do cheer us up.

Other than that, it's the usual wash day and bed change. Expecting a Sainsbury's delivery later this afternoon so more than enough to keep us busy.

Morning all

Bright sunshine here today, we seem to be getting alternate nice days and rainy ones at the moment We’re out having brunch again, will walk the hound round the dock basin afterwards. My right calf aches this morning, probably from Pilates last night. Good news, Becky has had her contract extended at work for another year, in Jan ‘24 she wants to go travelling so is saving hard.

Yes Jan, we do. Rington's deliver by van. It's good tea.

Good afternoon everybody.

The sun has been shining but ther has been a wind which has lowered the temperature a few degerees.
Saw the nursethis morning. She said she could not see any majorproblem. Tested my watersample which did nor show any abnormality. Even my blood
pressure is normal. So I am carrying on eating and drinking as I have been doing and may live a few more years.
Am parcelling up some things to send to my grand-daughter. She had a lot ot take back with her last week. I use UPS. The price is similar to Royal Mail and
will normally get there the following day. There are several collection points in most towns. The parcel can be picked up from the house for an extra charge.

CRomwell, we used to call it an Irish spanner.

THe couple across the road have Ringtons tea. The van comes at least once a month to deliver the order. Never seen it in supermarkets.
