Good morning Ally.

Have a safe journey home.
Have bought myself two small Christmas presents. One is a 55 inch TV Had to comem home and measure the stand to make sure it would fit.
The picture is brilliant much better than the old one. Thatwil be going to the British Heart Foundation.

The other is an air fryer. It is still in the box as I will have to make space on the worktop ion the kitchen for it. Will have to read the instrucions before
I use it.

Can't see what the weatheis as it is still dark. Probably just frosty.
Have a good day everybody.

>Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Wet. Grey. Not nice.

Safe journey home Ally xx

Air fryer is dead simple Cruiser, just make sure you don't use too much oil on anything. I use olive oil.

Laptop doesn't like this weather, took ages to boot up this morning

Housework will be done after breakfast and that's about my lot for today. Dinner cooked, just steam some spuds and that's it.

Oh, the sun has just come out and it's rather warm 8-)

Have a lovely day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Woke up to a heavy frost, but the sun's out now.

Safe journey home Ally.
What tv did you get in the end Cruiser. Will be interested to hear about the air fryer too.
I don't know about your laptop Jan, but it takes me a while to boot up every morning

We were up extra early, went over to M&S hoping to get in/out quickly. Thank goodness we did, it was already getting busy and although there were lots of spaces in the car park it was filling up quickly when we left. Apart from that it's a normal Friday, a second load is in the washing machine. Leaving the bed change till tomorrow.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all.

-4 °C "feels like" -7 °C. According to the thermometer it got down to -6 °C overnight!

It is bright and sunny now so I will do another trip to the revive centre with a load of repairable bits for them to have a go at. When going through all the stuff I found an old infrared vibrating massager so I will be keeping that for my bad back. Where do we get all these things from, and why do we keep them?

I'll do a bit of a cookathon later making a variety of hearty stews for the freezer to just microwave up when I want a good meal. The slow cooker will be on overtime! That reminds me, I need mushrooms.

Go steady and keep warm,

Morning all, we’re back! It’s bright and sunny here, a very heavy frost last night and the temperature is just above freezing. When we got back yesterday evening the temperature in the house was 6 degrees  So the heat went right on and the gas fire too. We unpacked and I got a wash on, caught up on some recorded stuff and headed to bed early as it had been a long day - has travelling always been so tiring (or am I getting old  ) Plenty to do today, Edward has gone to meet his golfing friend for coffee as the golf course is closed. I’m off to the hairdresser at 12pm, have a few phone calls to make, then back to tidy away the last holiday bits and go to the chemist to renew prescriptions. We had a lovely break, a very nice time to go away, everything on the ship was very Christmassy. The cruise was misnamed Dutch Christmas markets but we saw no market in Holland  We saw one in Le Havre, which was a joke, a few stalls and a big wheel. We met a couple we knew on the ship, dancing friends who we had not seen since before the pandemic, so that was a nice surprise. We also met another English couple who were as interested in sequence dancing as we are and we enjoyed an evening of dancing with them. All in all, a great few days away.

Good afternoon.
Just back from the hospital where I've picked up some medication and had my bloods done.
We did a supermarket shop this morning and MrsC had a mooch around Wakefield for Christmas presents.
That sounds like a nice holiday Osc. 6c in the house though! No wonder you got the heating on.
Have a nice day all.

Evening everyone :)

Hope your trip home went smoothly Ally :) xx

Welcome back Osc xx

*Waves to everybody*

Sorry to be so late, but we’re round at D’s as her boiler is playing silly buggers :x  On a freezing cold day too!! Long story short, her boiler guy has been out, we’ve contacted Worcester on his advice, but it’s a year out of warranty. However it seems to have somehow righted itself in the meantime. We’re waiting for M the boiler guy to get back to us, and are staying put until then. Oh and J, J and C are due here tonight, up from Weymouth for the weekend! Absolutely terrible timing, this boiler :x :o

It’s working at the moment Saundra, so fingers crossed. She does have an electric fire in the living room, and several portable electric heaters if needed. Luckily her shower is electric too, so if it goes off again they’ll be ok xx
