Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 17 Dec 2022, 05:14

Good morning.

Had a fabulous flight home and stepping off the plane to Spanish warmth was very different to the 0° degree I left Nottingham.

Today is forecast sunny and 19 °. 8-)

I'll unpack, put a wash on then plan to do nothing but relax. :D

There's two episodes of the new series of the excellent Strike for me to watch on iPlayer then the SCD final. :x

A Chinese takeaway for dinner. Perfect.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny morning :Hi: mist very slowly clearing and a dry day.

I'll put the washing out as soon as the mist lifts a bit more, then crack on with the housework I didn't get around to yesterday

Need to put some decorations up, I suppose ;)

Off down to do the recycling, check the post and see Chris and Lucy later. They went to the Algarve yesterday and did some food shopping for me.

Footie this afternoon and curry for dinner.

Havea goodday everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally. Are you still on UK time or back to Spanish time.

It is still cold but cloudy. There may be rain later. Am going to see a friend later when I have tidied up and hada shave.
Tried my air fryer last night. Brliiaint. Did roast potatoes and parsnips in one side and pigs in blankets in the other side. Wil be getting more adventurous
as I am going to get a recipe book. Only get a small one with the new air fryer.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all.
It was very cold earlier but is warmer now; it rained not long since and we may get up to 4c today Ally, positively tropical! :D
MrsC is off to gymnatics with the child Elizaa nd then to Aldi afterwards. I'll get a paper and do the washing up etc.
I may try to make a quiche later on, or not.
Cruiser, what model air fryer have you got? We are thinking about getting one.
Had a shock yesterday, I went on the Wine Society website and the red wine that I like has gone up to £19 a bottle! It was less than £15 last time I looked, and less than £12 about a year since. A four pack of Guinness looks like a bargain now!
Have a great day everyone.

Morning all, it is bright and sunny here and although it is frosty it is far less cold than yesterday. I got everything on yesterday’s list done, and don’t have much on today’s list. Edward is going to make the first batch of mince pies, and I’ll put away the last holiday bits along with the cases. We were a bit lazy this morning, so I still have to have my shower. 3rd and 4th playoff match this afternoon and we actually might watch the SCD final, even though we have not watched it at all this season.

-3 °C here, but with the humidity at 93% we had a deep hoar frost overnight so that it looked as if it had been snowing. It is now clouding over and there are little whisps of snow in the air.

I have had an email from the cab company that failed to turn up on the day of the Brum meet causing me all sorts of trouble and extra expense. I have just filled in an online small claims court form seeking reimbursement. We'll see.

Now I have presents to wrap and cards to write then it's on to the curry cookathon I mentioned yesterday.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :)

Cold and frosty, but the sun's coming out now.

We had a lovely lie in this morning, catching up after all the early starts this week. Bed change and a few other bits, but will be as lazy as possible once that's all done. Strictly final tonight, I'd love to see Hamza win, but will be happy if it's Helen. Tbh I think all 4 couples are great.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

We've been out nearly all day - Corretto's this morning, then a pleasant afternoon round D's with the in-laws :) We've just had a very early dinner as I'm about to start my present wrapping.

Glad you're home, Ally, nice and warm :) It's defrosting a bit here, as it's been 6°C today :Hi: :D

Love to all xxx
