Morning all :)

Wet

E's hospital transport picked him up at 5.15am. This appointment is at their Bolsover Street clinic in London, it's to discuss his knee. He's going to get there much too early, his original appointment was for 8.50am, but they rang to say because of the tube strike today it was being put back till 11am. Sadly it was too late to alter the transport arrangements so they said they would inform Mr McCulloch's team and try to fit him in as soon as possible. In reality I'm guessing it will mean a lot of waiting around, I packed him some rolls etc so he won't go hungry, but goodness knows what time he'll get home.

I decided it wasn't worth going back to bed as I have an 8am blood test booked at our surgery. Was planning to shower when he left, but no water. It's becoming a nuisance, they were doing work down the road Friday and Saturday so turned it off for a couple of hours both days. There's an automated message on Southern Water saying they are aware of a problem in our area and will be fixing it asap.........we'll see. Will probably pop to the small Tesco for some veg while I'm out, saves going tomorrow and I have a feeling we'll both need a lie in!!

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning everybody.

Much warmer. A few drops of rain when I went for the paper. Will be going to try and get my hair cut this morning. It may mean a wait in the barbers I usually use.
But I do not want to go to another one.
I may not post tomorrow as i am going to have a scan at the localhospital. The appointment is at 9.30 a.m. Mark, who lives opposite has said he will mtakeme.
I can come home on the bus after the examination. The car park at the hospital and on the roads nearby are always full.
Have a good day everybody

Morning everyone

Chilly and a little misty, but it will be another lovely day 8-) Bad weather up north for the next couple of days, but will miss us.

Hope E gets seen as quickly as possible Jen and the blood test goes okay.

And best of luck to you too Cruiser, for tomorrow.

Off to Beja this morning, in the hope we can sort out the residençia cards and get new codes for payment.

Will see what the rest of the day brings, once we're home.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, another dreary wet day. I have plenty of h/work to do, then I will be collecting Kellie from school so she can stay here for a few hours. Miss Osc is mad busy this week with clients wanting their house sales and purchases closed. I’m meeting two friends for coffee this afternoon so Edward will be doing most of the babysitting. He has just headed out for a walk and to the local hardware shop to see if they have a particular battery he wants.

Good luck to Ed, what a long day for him. Good luck with your scan also, Cruiser.

E's waiting for his lift home, just as well we couldn't reschedule his pick up. Apparently he was straight in to x-ray and saw the consultant almost immediately after, no waiting at all. His message just says he's on the list for a replacement, great news as it's always been doubtful if it could be done. No other details, will have to wait till he gets home for more news.

Still no water, one of the ladies in Tesco said it was a burst main near the big Asda, not exactly on our doorstep. It's obviously going to take time to fix, I had a text from Southern Water while I was at the surgery to say as a priority customer, my age and general decrepitude, I'll be getting bottled water  That was at 8.30am, no sign of it yet.

Oh blimey Jen, not good re the water situation. How can you shower with bottled water ;)

Good news for E :D

We met some friends when we were getting petrol and they said that the majority of people locally have wrong info on their residençias or the wrong card, so not to bother doing anything about it, no-one else has.

went to pay for them and I couldn't do it, out of date code.

So now to get in touch with them and ask just what we do now :x Been a farce from start (over two years ago) to now.

Went for a coffee, chatting to Sonia, in her bar and she's going to start informal chat groups, for us all to learn better conversational Portuguese, so we'll go along, when she starts.

Quite blowy, so the washing will blow dry quickly

Afternoon everyone.

Dull, wet and raining on and off, some of it quite heavy.

I have changed the bedding and got two loads of whites / creams to go in the washer for a hot wash.

Jen I hope all goes well for you and E with your various health issues.

Well, everything is cleaned up, cupboards and fridge are full. Now that the temperatures have gone up it might be safe to do a steam clean of the windows... or maybe not. :x

Enjoy your day.

Afternoon all, it’s dull and very windy. It’s been raining on and off too and we’re forecast a high of 14c which is crazy after last week. Walked Bill first thing and ended up unzipping my jacket and taking off my hat and gloves

I’ve cleaned the stair carpets today, hoovered through, changed the beds and cleaned the bathrooms so I’m hoping for an easier afternoon - once the ironing is done that is.

Joe had booked today off work.
He optimistically expected to be hungover after he optimistically expected England to win the World Cup yesterday.
He’s currently driving his Grandad to M&S to help him do some clothes shopping

Tom’s in London, he went on Saturday and is back tomorrow. He’s going to see Book of Mormon tonight, I’m hoping that he enjoys it so much that he wants to see it again with me sometime when we’re in London

Me and John are off into Birmingham this evening for a walk around, there’re a few more Christmas presents I need too.

Have a good day all :D
