Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 05 Jan 2023, 07:24

Good morning.

Forecast sunny and warm again. 8-)

Going for a coastal walk with Don. :D

At 5pm we'll walk into town for the Eve of King's processions.
Loads of floats with the children throwing sweets to the crowds. No health and safety over here.

Gambrinus for dinner after that. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Foggy start, but sun and 17C forecast for later,

Off in the car this morning :Hi:  Only to Ourique, but still  Aldi, the joy that is Pingo and also the chemist.

Pit stop at the bar and check the post on the way back.

This afternoon, we-ll load the car up with the recycling and head down to the bar for a beer or two. On the way, we-ll dig up two plants that some/one" has driven over and squished and replace them.

Rubbish for dinner, for a change, burgers with cheese and onions on top, in a bun, with chips.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Oh, sun just peeping over the fog layer, right into my eyes

Morning all, it’s fairly dull here but is forecast to brighten up and is quite mild. Most of the decorations are down now and like Cruiser, we’ll be putting them in the attic - ours are also in plastic boxes, apart from the tree which is in old post office sacks and although in three parts, it is awkward enough to handle. Back to Thursday childminding today, collecting Kellie from school and Michael has said he will come here for dinner too so that will be nice. He seems to have got through his first term in secondary school very well, he got good marks in his Christmas exams with nice comments from the teachers, and Miss Osc said he studied well too. Hopefully this will continue. This morning I’ll clean our shower doors and put on some washing.

Gorgeous sunshine and warmth now 8-)

The stupid cat apparently decided to have a walk - next door

She came through the fence so quickly, with a darking bog, not too far behind her

Don't think she'll be doing that for a while

Meeting Mitchell down the bar later :D

Just about to do the breakfast dishes and that's my lot - a lazy day, for a change 8-)

Oh and got loads of Christmas cards

Hello and good morning all

Office day for me today - trains a bit iffy this morning because of the strike, but they're running. I'll leave the office early though as the last train is around 5.30pm and I don't want to risk that being cancelled

Ally, enjoy the walk and then esp the procession this evening. Bet lots of excited kids this evening (on a sugar buzz) and looking forward to their Christmas gifts tomorrow
Jan, say hi to Mitch please - and everyone else as well

Osc, Cruiser and Kaz have a good day with the respective bits and bobs you're up to xxx

have a lovely day everyone else

Morning all :D

Nice and bright, hope it lasts.

Well I was right, the house does look bare, it even feels colder somehow. I've popped a casserole in the slow cooker so tonight's dinner is taken care of. We're off out to M&S in the next hour or so, need quite a few bits this week.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning all.
A stew is in the slow cooker, I've done a bit of shopping and arranged for an electrician, a friend of our sons, to come tomorrow.
It is brightening up a bit now after a rainy start.
The car is filthy but if I wash it it will be just as filthy after a few days, so it seems like a waste of time.
Have a good day everyone.
