Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 01 Mar 2023, 05:35

Good morning.

Had a really lovely day yesterday. :D

Shopping with sis then on the way home stopped at a neighbour's farm to be introduced to the cows.

Davide donkey also came over.

So did four beagles and a stork.

There's a tiny church just a moment's walk away from Michele and Mark's house which is so nice and we had a look inside then a stroll round their tiny hamlet.

Sweet elderly neighbours Nicole and Rimonde stopped by to hand in some flowers and freshly laid eggs.
So lovely. :P

Today I'm being taken to their local market.
(I say local....the nearest anything is a minimum of 45 minutes drive away. )

Lunch out then back to chill out. :D

Mark's making his signature dish for dinner...a Chinese concoction he calls it.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sun is out, frost is going, we're in for another lovely day and cold night

Off to Ourique after breakfast - not quite a 45 minute drive - for a few bits and bobs and also the shopping. My post-op stockings are in the chemist, so need to pick them up too.

Back to hopefully put our wall art up. We have slightly different ideas about it, although it was my original idea, but Grumpy knickers has taken over  so will have to fight my corner again later.

New dish here, chicken and chorizo. I bought some beer chorizo the other day, so keen to try it out.

Enjoy your Chinese concoction Ally :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

The sun is trying to come out but there are still some grey clouds. Itis still cold. Have not got the CH on yet as I am going out shopping.
There are working men yet again next door. Don't know what they are doing . There was one on Monday till nearly 6.00 p.m.
When the couple bought it workmen were ther for two and half years altering the inside and buidling an estension at the back.
Don't know what they are having done now. I don't speak tothem.
Ally, you sound as if you are having a good time. Can you post some photos?

Have a good mday everybody.

Morning all, it’s mostly cloudy here. This week we are swapping childminding day with my sister, so I’ll be collecting Kellie from school and I think Michael is coming for dinner as it is his half day in school. This morning I want to do most of the ironing to get it out of the way for the rest of the week. We heard from Aer Lingus that our flight to Leeds Bradford at the end of the month is now going two hours earlier - i.e. 7.30 am  so I need to change our car park booking in Dublin Airport. The car hire place at Leeds Bradford doesn’t open until 11.30 on a Sunday but the manager has said he will leave a note in case someone is in earlier asking them to contact us. I’ll also contact the hotel asking if we could have an early check in, so we can have an afternoon nap as we will have been up since the middle of the night :x We’ll be fine but it’s just a bit annoying!

hello and good morning all

Ally, your holiday with your sister sounds just perfect!
Jan, I've obviously missed the wall art post - unless it's the birds for the pool, but i thought they were up so am sure it's not them : :?: :?
Cruiser, hope the works next door are finished soon. I told all my neighbours ahead of anything I was doing so they knew to expect noise and I made sure no noise before 7.30am or later than 6pm
Osc, hope you get everything sorted for Leeds - good luck
Enjoy the day with the dog and your grandson Vic

Well another office day for me; could have worked from home really but had made arrangements to meet up with friends this evening so here we are :D Another office day tomorrow as well and Friday will be a day off - roll on the weekend

have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all :D

Sunny at the moment, but very dark clouds gathering.

Having an easy day, my hip has been playing up for the last few days, what with that and the ankle I'm feeling extra crocked right now.

Hope you all have a good day xx

It's something I saw on a post a while ago Ria and i went into the field next door yesterday and gathered a load of twigs and esteva's. I'll put a pic on fb when it's done. Grumpy is painting the wall at the moment, so hopefully will get it up tomorrow :D

Clumsy me  Sliced into my finger instead of the baguette, blood everywhere  Now firmly bandaged up  Grumpy thought he'd help by cutting up the rest of the baguette and made a right mess of it

That's annoying Osc

Hope you feel better after resting <<jen x

I'm about to do a goulash and the chicken thing for tonight. Might have to have some help

Cold wind, but lovely in the sun 8-)

Afternoon all, it’s dull, cold and rainy here.

Bill had his walk first thing, before the rain started. We saw his friend, I don’t know her name but she’s absolutely gorgeous. She’s a 14 year old GSD cross (not sure what she’s crossed with but it must be another large breed, she’s much larger than Bill!!), but you wouldn’t think she’s 14 if you saw her and she’s the most gentle girl.

Off to Manchester once Joe’s home, it’s a 7.45 kick off tonight. Not sure we’ve had one of those this season despite the many evening kick offs we’ve had.

Osc, that’s annoying re the flight. Hope it doesn’t cause too much of an inconvenience with the car x

Have a good day all :)
