Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny but cold and another thick frost

Safe travels Ally x

Off to the dreaded coffee morning this morning, and Grumpy has been persuaded to come as well :o :o  I'm taking a load of books, hope to get a load more and I-m also taking a bag of books for a new lady who has moved into the area, whom we met last night. South African lady Ria, I'll find out more later :D

Back to do not a lot. Dinner is already cooked, just need to do some rice - I'll be using the steamer for that. Never cooked rice in a steamer before

Might pop down to the bar later, to do the recycling (any excuse  )

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally. Have a good flight home.

I am going to Chorley on the bus. There is a stall on the marketwhich sells fresh fish. You don't need to spend an hour trying to open the packaging.
Will also get some fresh veg. You pick your own from large boxes. No plastic bags.
Will have my lunch in a cafe. Probably soup witha roll. Then maybe tea cake for afters. Will go to an ironmongers a I want some brackets.
You can buy just one not like B&Q ere you have to buy a packet of six.
Will alsolook in som e of the charity shops.
Have a good day everybody.

Good morning you three and everyone - happy Friday! :Hi:

Ally, safe travels home and enjoy your Friday evening tapas - so glad you had such an amazing time in France, but it'll be nice to get back home to your 'boys'
Jan, hopefully the coffee morning isn't too bad. And you definitely need the recycling to be sorted LOL :D . Re the rice, I can't remember - do you have a microwave? I used to use a microwave rice cooker and they're fab; 10 mins and no risk of anything bubbling over on the hob and making an almighty mess.
Cruiser, Chorley sounds amazing - I really wish we could go back to that style of shopping; not only more sociable, but as you say less waste because you tend to buy only what you need. And the per item / per kilo price is the same regardless if you buy one or ten of whatever it is (unlike supermarkets where multipacks are so much cheaper so you buy those and then don't know what to do with it all)

I've got the day off - going to have a bite to eat and then head down to farnborough to look in various plumbing and tile shops. Karl and I will be redoing my bathroom in April so need to figure out best fit for everything, see what is available and then get things ordered. It's a fair size bathroom given the size of the flat, but it's an inside one so dark - so I want to keep everything as light as possible. Then this afternoon I'm helping Nadine with admin'y bits for her uni work and then dinner at theirs.

Have a fantabulous day everyone xx

Morning all, it’s dull and dreary here, but Edward has headed off to play golf anyway. I’ll tidy around, then go to the post office to take out money before going to the gym at 11.30. I might go for lunch with the gym girls, I’ll see how I feel. Then back to do not very much for the afternoon except put away the Tesco order when it arrives. Going dancing tonight.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Safe flight home Ally.

Usual washing and bed change for me, these Fridays seem to come round so fast. Boots have already delivered our prescriptions, Sainsbury's are due later this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon.
After waiting in for the Rington's man we have done the supermarket shop for the weekend.
Grey and chilly here, as per usual.
Eliza has gone to school dressed as an owl for fancy dress day; the costume took our daughter hours to make.
Have a nice day all.

Good afternoon all, it’s dull, cold and breezy here.

Bill’s had a long walk, the Tesco delivery has been and I’ve changed the beds so two loads of washing are on the line. I’m now going to have some lunch whilst watching an episode of The Sopranos. We usually watch one or two at night but Now Movies have added Elvis today so we’re watching that tonight. We saw it at the Odeon and it was a superb film so we’ll watch it again.

I’ve got to call my sister too, she left a message earlier saying that she’s going to be at our Dad’s tomorrow afternoon making stew so if we want to join them for food we’d be welcome. Might pop in if we’re about but I really need a weekend of not rushing here, there and everywhere and we’re already going to be out tomorrow morning and then again at night.

Have a good day all :)
