Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 23 Mar 2023, 06:10

Good morning.

Summer is marching in. Forecast 25° again. 8-)

My walk soon before it gets too hot and sweaty to really enjoy it. :P

A few beers early doors and I'll pick up a couple of pizzas for dinner to eat whilst watching Dragon's Den and The Apprentice final. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally and everyone

Sigh Ally - we can only dream of warm weather - it seems a really long winter (but then I say that every year this time of year    )
Enjoy the beers and the pizza's and TV watching

I'm working from home today - yay! No client meetings so no need to go in and it saves me £30 for the day on train travel and parking. Will pop into town at some point to sort out a new phone and contract and then this evening a weekend of party celebrations start. Nadine has her birthday tomorrow and Karl on Sunday; so this evening Nadine, another friend and I are meeting up for a birthday dinner, tomorrow birthday lunch, Saturday birthday BBQ - all of which will involve copious amounts of food and liquid refreshments. Sunday I think I'll just collapse once I've been to wish Karl a happy birthday

have a lovely day all

Morning Ally, Ria and everyone

Mist/fog coming in  but the sun is still out.

Slightly cooler today at 23C and we lit the fire last night as it was chilly, and will be again tonight, I think. Then we're into double figures at night, so the wood can stay where it is until next winter.

Have a lovely next few days/nights celebrating Ria :Hi: :Hi:

Must do the ironing that I couldn't get around to on Tuesday, then curry making and will try to get some stuff done outside.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Ally that’s warmer than us again, I think if we go away this time of year again Spain might be a safer bet

That’s a lovely few days to look forward to Ria! Happy birthday to all concerned :D xx

Morning Jan :D xx

It’s a bit cloudy here, but forecast much sunnier this afternoon. We’re staying around the hotel grounds today as Mick has a gippy tum. Lots of reading, relaxing and not doing much methinks :D

Yesterday was good, we ended up exploring the Byzantine fort in Paphos harbour instead of the Tomb of the Kings. Interesting place :) Then instead of getting the bus back we walked along the coastal path, beautiful walk 8-)

Have a good day everyone xxx

Good morning everybody. Another day with grey clouds and a few spots of rain. The sun is tryingto comoe out but it is still not warm.
Am just pootling today. Will have a quick trip to Tesco. I like their smoked salmon and crumbly Lancashire cheese. May get a few other things while I
am there.
Ria, sounds as if you are going to have a good few days.

Have a good day everybody.

Kaz, have you ever looked at Tavira, down in the East Algarve. Lots of walking, ferry to the beach, train over to Spain/Faro. Some lovely places to stay and a very interesting place to visit.

And warm. 8-)

Morning all, it was sunny when I walked Bill but there was a bit of drizzle in the air. Looks like it’ll rain soon as it’s greying over now.

Having a good clean around today and I need to meal plan for next week before placing the Tesco order. Meal planning is a job I hate doing.

I’ll try to watch another episode of The Sopranos too, I’ll be on the final season after that. I’m now trying to ration myself to one episode a day to make it last

Had a good day all :D

No but I’ve only been to Portimao and Pria da Rochas (sp?) before :)

It’s actually really warmed up here since I posted, just put the sun cream on :Hi: :Hi:

Morning all, it’s sunny here but looks a bit watery. We are going to dance practice this morning then to the nearby shopping centre for lunch. I want to get a bookshop voucher for my brother and a book to add to Miss Osc’s birthday pressie for next week. I also want to get some cheapy Eastery stuff - we are going to an Easter bonnet dance on Saturday week, and want to have the hats ready before we go away this Sunday. We started them yesterday and I got myself a nicely burned thumb with the glue from the hot glue gun  Thankfully lavender oil did the trick and it’s not sore today. I also did all the ironing yesterday, then we had an unexpected nuisance with the extractor fan as the plug came half out. So that was a good hour taking it out, adjusting the plug which is in a very inaccessible position, then getting the fan back in place.

SIL sent some gorgeous photos and videos from Austria yesterday, where they all seem to be having a wonderful time, Michael and Kellie are doing really well with the skiing. The other two children in their group at the ski school come from a couple of miles down the road!

Morning all :D

Nice and bright.

Enjoy your walk Ally.
Sounds like you're in for a busy fun weekend Ria.
Step away from the ironing Jan
Enjoy the sunshine Kaz.
Good luck with your shopping Cruiser and Osc.
Meal planning isn't my idea of fun either Jo.

We're off out to Westwood Cross in the next hour or so. Usual visit to M&S, but need to pop into Boots too.

Hope you all have a good day xx
