Well done indeed.

Our Prime Minister got this started here on December 27. :cute:

Bus fares cut in half.

Gas canister prices capped.

Big reductions in electric bills.

It's all helping those less fortunate. X

Well done, yes, but most of those things are already zero rated in the UK.

VAT is a direct tax on consumption. It benefits those who consume the most more.

That being said the zero VAT items in the UK tend to be those which impact the poor the most.

Well done though because there is another dynamic here. Everyone in the EU is under high pressure to harmonise VAT and not to have exceptions. Because cross EU products VAT goes to the EU and not to the country.

In this case, with bailout funds in place and scrutiny on the budget because of being in the Euro, this is actually a much bigger move than it looks.

So much Kudos.

That's progress then Jan :D xx

Ally, that's great :) 8-)

We were watching the BBC World News for a few minutes in Cyprus, and apparently the German government are making ALL public transport completely free - a brilliant scheme IMO.
