Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 16 Apr 2023, 05:26

Good morning.

As it's forecast 32° "but will feel warmer" I'm getting the hell out of here for a very early walk.

A day for reading around the pool or floating on the lilo.

At least for dinner I can throw a chicken in the oven and let it do its thing.

TV tonight. :D

Have a great day.

Morning all :)

That's blooming hot for April, Ally  xx

Have a good one, Cruiser xx

Well it's wet here, which isn't what was forecast  Out for breakfast in a while, then a lazy day, although I might do some ironing later.

Spoke to my cousin Zoe last night, we're going out to see her and Rainer for a few days in August - better brush up on my (very) basic Deutsch! :D :D

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning everyone

Lovely and warm already and 31C for us 8-)

Hobbled around and did the watering, took me a lot longer  and Grumpy did the long walking for me.

Washing on, bed stripped (Gladys had an accident  ) and I've stripped off too. Sleeveless top and very loose and light trousers. That's my summer wardrobe sorted.

I've started on the keep the house cool regime already. Shutters shut, windows open and will shut them later, blinds down in the lounge.

BBQ for us later, Jan very kindly brought me some sausages the other day, so will have them and home made burgers.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

It is hot for April Kaz. Looking at previous diaries for this time of year it was 24-26° which is why mum and dad loved the climate.

We've got two lots of friends on holiday.

One couple in Tunisia and it's only low 20s.

Another couple in Albufeira that are enjoying lovely warm days but there's an ever present wind (not them  ) and they're finding it a bit chilly at night. They'd taken some thick cardies so they're ok.

Operation keep the house cool started last month. Luckily the design of it was well planned. And we've never ditched the duvet in March before...it's always been April. :o

I do think the world weather is bonkers.

Morning all, it’s dull here but not quite as cold. I had a fun night out last night, great band and super dancers. Lots of singing along, and standing dancing by the end. I met a few people I knew, and the woman sitting beside me was up for fun like I was, singing along and itching to get up and dance - her husband was a bit more circumspect ;) I’m feeling a bit tired this morning though  Nothing planned for the day except to make the soup I didn’t make yesterday. I’ve just ordered a pair of shoes online, I would never normally do that but I already have them in black and they have been very successful so I ordered them in beige.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

A lazy day for us, roast chicken and veg for dinner later this evening, vanilla blancmange with lemon and lime jelly for pud. That's the last blancmange so will have to put an order in when we get back.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon.
Grey but noticably warmer today. We might reach the dizzy heights of 16c.
At three o'clock we are going to our daughter's house, she is putting a buffet on. It will be a nice family gathering.
In the front garden now we have various daffs and the yellow and red tulips have just opened.
So nice to see some lovely colour in the garden after a long winter.
Have a good day all.
