Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 24 Apr 2023, 07:00

Good morning.

Having been issued with a heat warning this week of 'Iberian oven temperatures' I'm already back from my walk about an hour before I usually go.

Lots of itty bitty things to do today before going away on Thursday. :D

Hiding in the pool will feature too.

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally, send some of that warm sun over here.

The sun is out but it is only 16C. Just another day pootling.

May repot some plug plants into bigger pots. They are on the window ledge in the kitchen and are slowily growing.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Looks lovely out there, but there is a chilly wind at the moment. Will warm up later 8-)

Pootling today, some gentle weeding again, as long as my aging back will let me  sorting out a few other things in the garden. Must remember to put sun cream on today, we were both a little pink yesterday

Leftover curry for dinner, so will have a beer or two borehand.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s pretty miserable here although the rain has stopped but the temperature is barely touching 5 degrees  Edward has headed off to the golf course and I’ll be going to the gym later. Today I will do the things that were on my list yesterday and didn’t get done  although I did some other stuff. I’ll get the soup on before I go out, put the towels in the dryer and a wash in the washing machine. Then this afternoon I’ll do whatever I think needs doing.

Morning all, it’s dull and drizzly with a forecast maximum of 8°c!

Going to have a easy day today  Extra time and penalties meant that we didn’t have much time to get back to Euston and 88,000 leaving Wembley at the same time puts a fair bit of pressure on the tube. Joe had to wait for his friend so I went ahead and ran to Wembley Central, it’s further out by a mile or so but less people use it for that reason, and got an overground train because I wanted to grab us something to eat and some water for the journey back as we hadn’t eaten since early afternoon (apart from Joe having a £10 basic cheeseburger from outside the stadium ). Met up with Joe at Euston and we had 10 minutes to spare before our train back home. That left on time but was then held up midway through the journey due to a problem with a train ahead so we ended up arriving in Wolverhampton 40 minutes later than scheduled.

Have a goood day all :)

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

I've got a list of things to do so there's not a big rush getting ready tomorrow. The cases are packed, had to do a bit of juggling with the weight, just hoping I haven't forgotten anything :?

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all :)

Oh yikes Al, take care in that heat! xx

Don’t forget the sun-screen Jan ;) xx

Hope you enjoy your gardening Cruiser :) xx

Osc, it’s miserable weather here too  xx

Jen, I always get that feeling of having forgotten something, but invariably I pack too much  xx

Jo, blooming trains! xx

We got home around teatime. The first leg of the journey from Manc to Brum was great, nice half-empty train. We already knew we’d got a 40 minute wait for our connection to Gloucester, the Cardiff train. However it was delayed, then delayed again, but then we realised another CrossCountry train to Plymouth actually called at Cheltenham, and as we had open returns we could take that one  So we changed platforms for that one, but that was also delayed due to trespassers on the line! Eventually that turned up and of course due to said delays was absolutely RAMMED full! A nice man gave me his seat, and put my weekend case up on the rack for me, but poor B had to stand. This meant we were still on the train when that 3pm nation alert went off - OMG the racket, I think it would have been less stressful to actually BE nuked! :P ;) Luckily I got hold of Mick and he met us at Cheltenham. Despite the nightmare journey home it was a BRILLIANT weekend, bound to be repeated :D

I’m in town, it’s belting down but we needed a few bits. I usually meet Em on a Monday, but her mum isn’t well so she’s taking her to the docs. I might see her later. I’ll walk up to D’s in a while, to meet Mick there later, the Snip Doggy lady is coming to ours to groom Fraggle so he’ll be up at D’s after that.

Have a good day everyone xxx

Good afternoon.
Grey here and it has turned very cold with a chilly north wind.
have a lovely holiday Jen.
Still not really over my cold, it's been the worst I've had for years with a bad sore throat.
Just brought MrsC back from our son's house. I think the rest of the day may be spent indoors.
Have a good day all.
