Hope it eases soon Jan.
I was surprised to get a high pollen alert on my phone this morning. I know there’s a lot of tree pollen around at the moment but I’d have thought that 24+ hours of rain would’ve dampened it down.

Blasted cold out there

Jose Felipe has just brought this week eggs up. He's well wrapped up in a hat, scarf and thick jacket.

I went outside in my thin top and by heck, that's cold out there

Same here, Jan. I have the heating on.

Reminds me of 1976 when we had a cold April The RAF turned the heating off in April and we all went out to buy convection radiator to keep warm.... then came the summer.

Deja vu?

Shrinkflation.
That sneaky trick the supermarkets have of selling you less for the same price.
Ben's rice (formerly Uncle Ben's), now 200g in a packet, was previously 250g.
Simple soap now has a "scoop" in what was previously a solid bar so now it weighs less.
Also various paper products now are thinner, like some of Sainsbury's tissues which are now much lower quality but still the same price.
It's a cheeky practice, really.

By heck, it's got hot all of a sudden

The sun has moved round to the back of the house, and as I was eating my dinner, I was glowing

Had to come inside to finish it off

That's us eating inside or out the front until the sun gets a little higher.

I always have Coffee Mate in my coffee. Last year it was £2.10 for 500g, then it increased to £2.80 for 500g. It’s now £3.45 for 450g (and it’s now in a fully cardboard container and the stupid cardboard lids aren’t airtight and are too loose).
