Morning Ally, morning everyone

Another blowy day

Cleaning head on this morning and we'll head out for dinner tonight :Hi:

Inbetween, more lavender will be pulled up. It look lovely, but really takes over. We left it, up by the fence between us and the idiot next door, but it's gone more than bonkers, so has to go. I'm not allowed to pull or dig, so I have the job of trundling the wheelbarrow down to the ruin and leaving it there in a pile, ready for a bonfire.

Happy Anniversary to Osc and Mr Osc :Hi: :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello you two and everyone - good morning and happy Friday

Ally, hope you had a lovely breakfast; enjoy the rest of your day and the beer and tapas this evening
Jan, could you not dry the lavender and use it as a mosquito repellent?

Well working from home today. Dropped off the car at the garage this morning and hoping and keeping fingers crossed it's not an expensive repair  . Karl will be coming round after work to fit the shower door which means I'll have a functioning shower :Hi: . Once that is done we need to finish off the tiling and grouting; then adding the coving and skirting boards and then final painting (which I will be doing). So not much more to do really but it will be slow as Karl will not be able to do much more here until Amelia has finished her GCSE's - he's helping her with revision and focus (100% understandably) needs to be on that.

Weather wise it's just meh here and has been all week - can't decide if it wants to be sunny or rainy so alternating between the two; with a rather nippy breeze. My heating came on this morning!

Osc, wishing you and Mr O a wonderful happy anniversary x

Have a lovely day all

Morning all, it’s bright(ish) with a few gaps of blue sky peeping through the cloud. Not getting my hopes up though, in two minutes it could be pouring down.

Not much planned today, the Tesco delivery is due between 11 and 12 although if it follows the recent pattern it’ll be early. Last weekend with us having the fridge freezer delivered on Saturday afternoon I booked the Tesco delivery for between 6 and 7 on Saturday evening to give it time to settle before being switched on and used. The shopping here just before 5!

Saw a pre-release screening of a fantastic film the other night at the Odeon, “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret” based on the Judy Blume book. I didn’t think it’d be John’s kind of film but he really enjoyed it too.

Football with Joe tomorrow, only our second (and last) 3pm home kick off this season. While we’re gone John will be driving to South Wales to take a birthday present for his mother, she was 75 on Wednesday, and a baby present for our one week old Great Nephew. They’ve called him Dewi which goes lovely with his brother’s name, Dylan. Their mother is very proudly Welsh and speaks it fluently so no surprise that they have traditional Welsh names.
Anyway, once we’re home from Manchester and Joe’s eaten, he and Tom will be driving down. I’ll stay home with Bill, they’ll all be back on Sunday evening.

Fingers crossed for a cheap garage bill Ria!

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, changeable weather here too, very fed up with it now. Edward has gone to play golf and I will have an exciting morning cleaning the bathrooms :? I also need to get my prescriptions from the chemist and go to the post office to take out money. Our Tesco delivery is this afternoon, and we are going dancing tonight. Thank you for the anniversary wishes, 51 years, not sure how that happened!

You remember the shoes I ordered that never arrived because the courier firm lost them? I have still had no response from Pavers, just an auto response from their help desk. Today I have posted on their Twitter and Facebook, that might get a reaction. I am down €56.99 and no shoes to show for it

Afternoon peeps.
We have been to do the weekend shop and I have taken the car to the car wash.
MrsC is about to take her Uncle Jim some ready meals.
Grey and chilly here.
Osc, that's very poor. In the UK in the run up to Christmas there were loads of problems with people not getting their parcels and often times it was with a firm called Evri. I hope you get recompense or your shoes soon.
Good news about the shower Ria.
Have a good day everyone.

Goodf afternoon everybody,

It has been a sunny day with lots of fluffy clouds. I have been to Boundary Mill at Colne. Had lunch with a lady who we met when we used to go dancing at Blackburn.
We keep in touch and have a good natter when we do meet. I did buy a few things.

Will plant some of the sunflower p[lants out now the weather is getting warmer. Some of them are nearly six inches tall

Have a good day everybody
