Good Morning Friday

Postby JanB » 16 Jun 2023, 06:05

Morning everyone

sunny and warm already and going to be another hot one. Warm night too

Just waiting for Grumpy to surface and I'll attack the cleaning before it gets too hot. At least the floors won't take long to dry

We have two plant nurseries, the one at the front has all the new cuttings and the one at the back has chilli and tomato plants, so they needs to be watered every day, like a green house at the back

General pootling - which means not a lot in this heat - for the rest of the day and salad again for dinner. Already lost 2 kilos, so I0m happy :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Janb and anybody elsewo is up.

The temp on the CH controler says 24C. It is getting hot again.

Had a lovely day out yesterday at Grange over Sands. Met friends at Carnforth and we went on the train to grange. Then walked along the prom into town and back.
Could see the power stations at Heysham on one side of the bay and Barrow on the other side. Sea flat with lots of sand. I had not taken my bucket and spade.
Back at Carnforth we had a look round the museum. It waswhere the film "Brief Encounter was made. Then had cake and cup of tea before heading for home.

Today, the plumber is coming to fit a control valve in the hot water supply for the wash basin in the bathroom. So I have had to empty all the stuff out of
the cupboard. Have filled one big box and one small box.
This afternoon I am going to get the lunger out and have a couple of hours in the sun. Another layer of dust can dscend and wait to be moved.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s another hot and sunny one.

Bill had his early walk and he’ll get his evening one once the sun has set.

Got the Tesco delivery coming later, not optimistic of getting the frozen goods though seeing as their freezers have been playing up this week. It always happens in Summer, one of the drivers said that the equipment which runs them is on the roof and packs up when it’s too hot.

Have a good day all :)

hello and good morning everyone - happy Friday

Jan - well done on the 2kg; good going! Enjoy the day pootling
Cruiser - enjoy the sunshine and good luck with the plumber! your day yesterday sounds amazing
Saundra - I've got a honeysuckle by my bedroom door and it's about to flower; can't wait - their scent is something else; I love it!
Jo - fingers crossed you get some of the frozen goods.

A lovely sunny day here as well, but alas - I'm in the office :( ; two meetings coming in - seriously on a Friday????? I'm not very happy about it I'll be honest and neither are two other colleagues who need to join. But I'm leaving at 1.30 as I've got a vet appointment and then meeting up with friends this evening.

Have a lovely day everyone!

I prefer to wait till I have a full load Saundra, there's only the two of us so a white and colours wash is only needed once a week.

Afternoon everyone :)

Scorchio! is all I have to say - flipping boiling here :cute: Out early for my SW meeting, then a lovely brunch with Mick at Portivo's, sitting in deep shade - bliss   I nipped into the shops there, and bought two new tops - one in Roman Originals, and one in Phase Eight. Both in the sales :Hi: Round to see D afterwards - she had some landscapers in yesterday clearing the bottom of her garden out - it looks very neat now. Actually it looks a bit bare to me, but then it's not my garden so none of my beeswax ;)

Take care in the heat everybody :)

Love to all xxx
