Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 27 Jun 2023, 05:21

Good morning.

What a day yesterday was!

I was on the go from 9 in the morning till 9 last night.

Everything went perfectly. I got to see everyone and in the order I'd planned.

I also went to see Merilin (who made me so welcome) and spent about 25 minutes in the house and garden. They haven't changed it too much but the one thing that was amazing was they'd lifted all the carpets to discover the most beautiful original wooden floorboards.
Even though my going there evoked so many memories of mum and dad (everywhere I looked I imagined their faces) I'm so glad I went. They're the perfect family to live in the house. xx

Today is Guns n Roses day!! I can't believe I'm going!

Michelle and I are heading into Glasgow around 1pm.
We'll have some lunch.then get the subway to Ibrox for the short walk to Bellahouston Park.

We've booked the happy bus  at midnight to bring us back which will be much easier than walking back to Glasgow Central with thousands of others.

Have a great day.

A hug for Saundra. (((xxx)))

Morning all :)

Ally, so glad yesterday went well for you (((((x))))) Happy bus made me giggle, enjoy the concert :D xx

Hoping Saundra is feeling better ((((x))))

It’s a lot cooler here today, maybe we’ll get some much needed rain 8-) We’ve started decorating the living room, in readiness for getting a new carpet and sofas. Yesterday Mick stripped off the old wallpaper from the feature wall and took down the curtain poles and blind fittings. He’s taking a break from it today so we’re going out, and will crack on tomorrow.

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning everyone

Bit dull this morning, due to dust from the Saraha and smoke from Canada  Massive fires over there  Still warm though.

I am a complete prat. I fell over yesterday, getting out of the pool and cracked my knee and smashed head first (well, knee then face) onto the paving. I have a lovely bump on my forehead and knee

Collecting the car this morning :Hi: :Hi: It's gorgeous, an ice blue, so looks silver, 2007 and a bargain at just under 10,000€ :Hi:

We need to insure it this morning, so getting quotes from a couple of companies in Ourique, after I've had my tootsies done. Might get the food shopping, might leave it until tomorrow.

General car gazing later

Enjoy the concert Ally :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

We have light rain. Lots of grey clouds. Only 20C. Am going out looking at newwsh basin for bathroom. The existing one which must be over 40 years old has two taps.
I want one with a single tap in the centre. It will mean Ican control the water tempeature more easily.

Ally, sounds as if you are having a wonderful time.

Have a good day everybody.

Hello everyone and good morning

Ally, yesterday sounds just wonderful - in a way some emotional cleansing (((hug))). Enjoy today and looking forward to hearing all about it
Kaz, good luck with the decorating - take lots of photos! And enjoy the day away from it all today
Jan - ouch!!!! hope no additional damage :( :o What car did you get?
Cruiser, good luck with the basin shopping. Having a single tap is sooooo much easier! But in all honesty - basins are all fairly standard; I ended up dithering for ages about the tap because they come in so many styles

Well busy day for me today; up early and have watered the allotment and been to Sainsbury's. Now logged on and doing some work before heading to the GP; then back for work / sorting the house; 3pm vet appointment, back for more work / sorting and then this evening taking a whole bunch of plants to a friend so he can water them whilst I'm away. They really really really should be in the ground by now but I just don't have anyone that I can ask to water the whole allotment, it's too much. Seriously, I've had to outsource my pets / house / garden to five people to look after whilst I'm away - it's mad!

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Sunny and a bit fresher 8-)

Sounds a lovely day Ally x
Good idea to take a break from the decorating Kaz.
Ouch Jan, that must have hurt. What make of car did you get?
Hope you find a basin you're happy with Cruiser.
Gosh Ria, 5 people, what a lot to organise.

The last couple of days I've not slept too well, so annoying. I don't mind waking up early on holiday, there's usually aircon and a day on the beach to look forward to. Not so much fun here at home, yes we do have a beach, but even on the hottest days there's no way I could cope with the sea temperature brrr.

Off out to the small Tesco in the next hour or so, need fresh salad and a few other bits.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s grey and a bit dreary here and there seems to have been some rain during the night. Edward has headed off to play golf and I have bathrooms to clean. My brother is coming to stay the night and we will go out for something to eat, I’ve booked a table for 6pm, my sister will join us. My brother also likes to treat us to breakfast out when he is here, which is always nice and something to look forward to in the morning!

Good afternoon.
Grey and much fresher here. It's rained a couple of times.
MrsC is at our son's house. We are picking Eliza up from school later.
Hug for Saundra.
Enjoy the concert Ally. Jan, a Merc! Sounds like a nice price too.
Have a good day everyone.
