Morning Cruiser, morning everyone

A little warmer this morning and the heat is ramping up again from today 8-)

Off to Ourique soon, as we need to talk things over with Nuno, our solicitor, about prat next door and his "wishes". As in, if I have a 10 metre access, I want the full 10 metre access, even if it means you have to cut trees down, which you're not allowed to, as they're cork oak and protected by law, I still wish for them to be cut down. And I want it in writing from an official source

And also, the building materials which are impeding my access, also need to be removed.

The man is a complete prat. He thinks that it is access for him and him only. He can block it - as he did the other day, so no-one, not even us, could walk through, let alone drive through.

So we'll see what we can do, which is basically, not a lot

Will get some makings for breakfast and a couple of other bits and bobs from the Chinese and chemist before we head home.

We normally have breakfast about 9.30 - 10.00, so will be a little later than normal.

Tuna salad for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

hello and good morning everyone, happy Monday

Cruiser, hope you find the jars - curious what project it is you're doing? :D
Jan, that man really is something else. Fingers crossed Nuno can help

Well, weekend was busy(ish) one but in a very lazy leisure was. Saturday Nadine and I went shopping; she has her official graduation on Wednesday (qualified nurse prescriber now) so I wanted something pretty to wear. I'm tired of the same old same old black trousers mixed with some top; so we both headed into Guildford, found a pretty dress each and then had lunch before heading back to their house. Yesterday we met up with an old friends of ours; don't see them often enough and it's always fab fun when we do.

The weather here is really very iffy - sunny one minute and cloudy and threatening rain the next. I've got washing on the line so am relying on the two forecasts I looked at, that say no rain, to be accurate.
Another work from home day for me today, so the usual pleasant mix of work plus pootle.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, sun and cloud here and it’s nice and warm with no rain forecast. I see the funfair is packing up, the weather has mostly been bad while they have been here and I’m sure business has been poor. Last year they were here for all of July. Today I’ll be cleaning the bathrooms and doing some ironing, but first I’m going to hang out towels on the line. Edward has just left to go and play golf. Miss Osc is coming up from Wicklow to spend the day in her office, and will call here later to collect our smaller table tennis table - they have finally cleared out the garage there which they want to use as a “den” for the children and we are happy to give the table to them. Hope it fits in her car! Loved the tennis yesterday, I was “watching” with my school friends, one in Florida, one in Atlanta and one in Boston, with another (who lives in NZ) on the road in a camper van in Maine with her partner on the way to Newfoundland! She was obviously not watching but enjoying the chat. Of us all, I am the only one who was never any good at tennis - or any other sport!

Morning all.
Dark and rainy atm but we had sun earlier. It's like April weather only warmer.
MrsC is at the hairdressers. We are going to look for a coffee table this afternoon.
Jan, it never ends!
Have good day all.

Morning all :)

Well it was an early start here, as Fraggle started to hyperventilate at 5.20 so we had to get up and comfort him, poor boy. He’s a flat-faced dog so this happens sometimes, but it’s always a bit scary :( Then I’ve spent several hours in the shower trying to get the purple tint out of my hair! Did it last night with a new toner, but it went wrong  :? Head&Shoulders is brilliant for stripping out hair dye and it worked pretty well after many many shampoos :cute:   Am now in M&S waiting for Emma.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all :D

It's been raining, but the sun's coming out now, think the weather's a bit confused.com today

Jan good luck with Nuno, as Crommers says, it's never ending with your neighbour.

Bed change for me, just hoping E doesn't get the dreaded phone call. Everything's ready for tomorrow, just waiting for a confirmed pick up time. He's told to be ready 4hrs before his admittance so 3am, but the driver usually let's him know the exact time the evening before. Considering how early he has to be there the traffic should be minimal so hoping he gets to sleep in an extra hour. My stomach is churning a bit, don't expect it will calm down for the next couple of days.

Forgot to tell you I've bought a new steam cleaner, I've had the old one for years so decided it was about time to upgrade, I got a good deal with QVC, it's normally around £160 and they were doing it on a one day special for £129.96. they give a 60 day returns policy, you can try it out and return if not happy post free. Even better they spread the cost over 3mths interest free so I've only paid £43.32 to try it out, a no brainer. Planning to have a go this morning, here it is https://www.johnlewis.com/shark-s6002uk ... p/p5561709

Hope you all have a good day xx

The never ending saga continues.......

Brian is now on his third solicitor   and we have, apparently, built a wall with electrics in it, to impede his 10 metres. And he's measured it all, width wise  :? and "wishes" us to move our fence to make sure he has his 10 metre access. And move the wall with the electrics too

Well, that wall was there when we bought the house almost 8 years ago, we certainly haven't recently put it up.

We have agreed, as a complete one off, to let him have access for his caravan across out field. I'm not happy about it, as he has other access, but Nuno said that it would be a complete one off. We'll see, I have my doubts.

The daft thing is that the access we share with David and Rita is only about 4 metres wide

Washing out, first lot dry and in. Will try and turn the mattress later.

Best of luck to E Jen xx
