Morning all, the weather can’t make it’s mind up today.
Bill’s had a long walk and I’ve had a 3 mile run afterwards. The washing is on the line so hopefully it’ll dry.
Went to see Mission Impossible last night, it was a huge borefest and that was only part 1. Suffice to say John will be going to see part 2 on his own
The only thing I found exciting was that you could clearly see that the airport scenes were filmed in Grand Central in Birmingham, on the walkway above New St, and could even see some of New St’s concourse on a scene with an escalator. The empty John Lewis store was converted into an airport terminal for the film.
I’ve got to contact PALS for my Dad today. He’s had a problem with weakness in his left hand so his GP referred him late last year and he had an appointment through in January for November, so an 11 month wait. He’s now had another letter saying that the appointment has been cancelled, not postponed and rescheduled, flat out cancelled. His GP can refer him again but that’s going to put him to the back of the list again. My thinking is that the strikes have meant they’ve cancelled some appointments so that the waiting list doesn’t get longer and have looked at who needs an appointment and who they can get away with not seeing (ie the elderly) so I’m going in from the age discrimination angle.
Glad all went well Jen
Al, it must be hot if you had a lift!
Have a good day all
