I’ve noticed that too, usually see a lot of butterflies while walking Bill but so few this year :(

What I’ve also noticed are the number of birds in our garden this year, I’ve often thought that we don’t see many and thought perhaps it was because we’re so close to the woods but we’re getting a lot this year and it’s lovely :D

I have seen a fair few, but then Gloucester is a "bee friendly" city, they've planted a lot of poppies and other wild flowers on grass verges and by the sides of roads, specifically to encourage them. We don't get many birds in our garden, mainly the odd pigeon or magpie, but D gets loads.

We have a bird bath in the garden, Saundra, which is just the right size for a pigeon to hunker down in and cool his feathers. We've often seen them doing that in this hot weather.
As compared to the blackbirds who dive into it, splash about madly spraying water everyehere, fly off and we then have to go out and re-fill it!
