The TV programme.

Just driving home from the shop when I noticed one marked and one unmarked police cars behind me - both with blues and twos and on the wrong side of the road doing well over the speed limit.

I pulled over to let them safely pass and got a thumbs up.

When I turned into the road to the estate there was another coming towards me at warp speed.

I don't know what has gone off... I'll try the police website.

Nothing on the WY live feed, but the chopper was up for a while down by the West Park Ring Road.

Seemed a bit more than training to me, but who knows? The local (Lawnswood) cop shop was closed years ago so they must have been called in from somewhere.

There is a row of houses which were ocupied by policemen when I was younger. It meant there were policemen living locally.
Also the main police station was in the centre of the town so olicemen/women were always seen walking to and from it.

Now there is a new police station on the outskirts and the staff drive there in cars. It is near a very busy road junction. supermarket ans out of town
shoping centre. The area regularly gets lammed with traffic at all times of the day.

But this is tipical of planning by the loal council.

On the way back down from Scotland on Satruday the traffic was really bad all the way down the A1.

I managed to skip so me of the traffic by my daughter and Grandson were stuck in it. Whilst slowly flowing through, there was a chase on the other side of the road. whoever was being chased crashed into slow traffic going the other way then got out of the car and ran for it into the woods. A plain interceptor came through the traffic, hopped over and also took up the chase.

I guess it happens quite a lot but with 67m in the country we just don't see it very much.

Saundra, look for someone with a beard (male or female) with tattoos and dressed in black. That's your modern copper.

Mind you, you can't see his tattoos, because they are only on his upper arms and not visible below a short shirt.
