Now this really is random.

Why, after having left the UK 20 years and 6 days ago have the NHS sent a letter for me to dad's old house?

It's the NHS, innit?

What's even odder Ossie is I never actually resided in that house.

I'll happily stick with the health service here thanks....at least they know my correct address.

Speaking of which, just been notified we've won £50 on a Premium Bond in the September draw.
First time for at least three years, and first time we've won anything more than £25.

The Law of Unintended Consequences .....

We went to a craft exhibition recently which was all about re-cycling used materials. Very noble!
From rather a large amount of expensive tat on display , we felt we ought to buy something, so I bought two small "cacti pots" made of recycled plastic for £16.
"Now we need some cacti!", I said to Mrs O.
So down to the garden centre earlier this week, and I purchased two small plants for £7, one traditional barrel cactus and the other a rather pretty affair with many green limbs.

I have spent the last 48 hours digging cacti spines out of my thumbs ....

I repotted a couple of cacti a few weeks ago.
It seemed like a good idea before I started.
